こちらはこの秋からMIT工科大学に進学が決まっている天才の、
ブラジル出身インディー！！！
そしてマイティーチャーのクリス。
最高のダメ出しをしてくれる。
哲学も勉強していて、話が深まっていくのが面白い。
質問力が飛び抜けている。
普段はかなりきりっとしているけど、多分お茶目。
天才ばかりのクラスですが、かなり和気あいあいやってます。
今日もパーティーがあって飲み過ぎました。
週末のパーティーは最高や。

『 キング牧師 と アンパンマン 』
ようやくプレゼンが終了。
本日のテーマは、アメリカの偉人と日本の偉人を紹介することです。
２人の偉人を紹介します。
この二人姿形は全く違います。
でも大きな共通点がああります。
それがなんだか分かりますか？
実はそれが本日のメイントピックです。
それではまず最初にキング牧師を紹介します。
なぜ彼は有名なのか？
彼はアメリカの自由主義のリーダーの一人として名前を残しています。
非暴力主義によって法律を制定させて黒人差別を撤廃した人です。
彼は主張し続けました。
奴隷解放宣言から１００年経つが、
いまだ差別は残っている。
この時の状況を少し解説します。
リンカーンによって奴隷解放宣言がなされ、
４００万人の奴隷が自由を手にしました。
ただまだ法律による差別は残っていたんです。
自由と平等がシンボルのアメリカ。
一方で法律による人種差別を認めている。
これは矛盾していますね。
そこでキング牧師は立ち上がりました。
彼が取った戦略は暴力を使わないという戦略です。
白人の暴力に対してスピーチなどの非暴力で対抗しました。
そして地道な活動の結果、
黒人差別を撤廃させたんです。
それでは次に日本の偉人を紹介します。
アンパンマンです。
アンパンマンとキング牧師、
なにが共通していると思いますか？
正解は、正義です。
二人とも正義のために自らの人生を捧げたんです。
アンパンマンは強い信念を持っています。
これがアンパンマンです。
可愛いでしょ？
まとめです。
この２人姿形は全く違うけど、
正義のために命をかけて戦いました。
INJUSTICE(非正義）をなくすために。
これが私のプレゼンです。
今回のリサーチで私は「正義」について強く興味を持ちました。
正義とは何か？
だれが正義であるかどうかを判断するのか？
あなたの国は正義のシンボルといえますか？
とても興味がある話ですが、
本日はこれにて終了させて頂きます。

[ American Icon ]
Hi! I am
Daisuke Okazaki.
I am very happy to join with you today. Today, in my 10minutes presentation, I am discussing about an American I con and a Japanese Icon. I will show you two famous honorable figures. Here they are.
This is Martin Luther king. This is a Japanese Icon, ANPANMAN. Although they look totally different, they have something in common with each other. Can you guess what it is? This is the main topic of my presentation. So, initially, I will talk about Martin Luther king then, I will show you the character of ANPANMAN and their commonality.
First of all,
this is Martin Luther King. Why is he famous?
As you know,
he is known as a leader in the history of modern American liberalism. In order
to secure progress in civil rights and create social justice, he was willing to
sacrifice for his entire life. Moreover, his attitude was non-violent resistance until he was assassinated. When will we be satisfied? He always asked his audiences. One of his goals was to inform the government that they still had not been satisfied since the civil war.
What was the condition at that time?
During the civil war, Abraham Lincoln declared the Emancipation Proclamation.
Thereby, 4 million slaves achieved freedom.
However, it did not mean an end to social segregation.
Martin said “ 100 years later, Blacks still were not free.”
Based on the laws, Blacks weren’t allowed to use the same public spaces with whites such as toilets, buses and schools.
The United States was a symbol of freedom and equality. However, the government approved of social discrimination. That was really strange.
Therefore, King had decided to end racial discrimination.
He said” Now is the time to make real the promises of the democracy.
“Now is the time to make true justice for all of god’s children.
How to end discrimination? After meeting Gandhi, he decided to use the Non-Violence method. What is the Non-violence method?
Non-violence method is the practice of achieving political goals through civil
disobedience, economic or political noncooperation without using violence, without civil war. Particularly, he tried to make speeches in many different places. Moreover, even though he was arrested and his house was bombed, he never give up their activity. So now I will show his speech.

This speech was a greatly success.
It helped put civil rights at the very top the liberal political agenda in the United States and facilitated passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was to end segregation based in the law. For example, it ended to unequal of application of voter registration, schools, workplaces and public segregation.
Moreover, King became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace
Prize.
Plus, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was established as a U.S. federal holiday in 1986.
This is the reason why he was famous as an American Icon. So, now I’d like to discuss about Anpanman. What is the commonality between Martin and Anpanman? The Answer is Justice. They fought for justice.
This is a characteristics of Anpanman.
Anpanman is one of the most popular anime heroes in japan.
He helps the poor and the weak. His head is made from bread which is source of energy for him. So, his weakness is water. If he gets wet, his energy dramatically decreases. And He is able to replace his head. In his opinion, Justice is not always beautiful and cool, but always hurts myself.
So, now I will show you Anpanman’s movie.

In conclusion, they looks totally different. But they are willing to fight for Justice.
They are willing to sacrifice for the people. Through this study, I am more and more interested in Justice.
What is JUSTICE?
Who judges Justice or not?
Is your country a symbol of Justice?
But this is another story.

(American = U.S. in this case ;-)
Why is this figure famous?
What makes him or her meaningful?
b) Compare this icon to a similar figure in your own culture.
アメリカのIcon（有名な人）を一人あげて、
なぜその人が有名なのか？
どのような特徴を持っているか？
を分析して、その人に似た日本のIconを例に出して、
比較するというものです。
