It's 5am in Japan. I'm gonna write about yesterday.
I had been awake since the day before yesterday untill 10pm yesterday. My girl friend needed to stay up all night to pass her "Micro-office specialist" exam for the next day, so naturaly I stayed up too.

We left at her house at 8:30am for the university.

冠詞をつける場合、場所の目的語や食べる対象と捉えた場合。
つけない場合は、例えば、生徒の義務として行くニュアンスをつけたい場合。または習慣?として使いたい場合。
On our way, we stopped by the convenience store to buy breakfast. Soon after we arrived at the university, we ate the breakfast we bought. We finishe eating for 30 min, so that my girlfriend could study again 30min until the exam would begin.
