In less than two years the hypervisor for x 86 servers will have profound transformation effects reducing costs of hardware ’ through server consolidation with greater use of ’ hardware. The flexibility allowed by the hypervisor will allow in the future to migrate workloads in virtual machines to providers of cloud computing services. This will have profound influences on disaster recovery and capacity planning. In a period from 2 to 5 years other effects will be deep from desktop virtualization software with a Pc partition or a virtual machine that is engaged in providing a ’ single application without the complexity of a full PC operating system. Firewall, media player will be separate modules that will run with the standard operating system of personal computers.
This will speed up the renovation of many applications especially in the ’ area of security and management, creating a veritable catalogue of virtual appliances.
