I have been fortunate to have always had animals in my life. From the day I came home from the hospital I was greeted with my first dog, Susie. As the years have passed there have been a few dogs come and go in my life and each one holds a special place in my heart.
I am a firm believer that all children should have the benefit of being raised around animals. When they are deprived of being raised with a pet and not allowed to develop the bonds that come along with such a loving relationship, I believe they do not develop a strong sense of responsibility for others and it influences how they deal with life events such as death.
Allowing a child to own and care for a dog or any pet teaches a child so many things and gives them first hand exposure of dealing with many life experiences such as love, anger, responsibility, worry and grief. What a beautiful way for a child to learn something so important.
In return, they are receiving unconditional love from the pet that they have become so fond of and no doubt has become permanently attached to. It's a win win situation. You have managed to teach your child important life lessons and they have gained a loyal friend and family member.
Dogs - Beyond Childhood
If you think that having a dog is only meant for kids, think again! The benefits of keeping a pet in your life should be an option for the rest of your life.
In today's hectic world, our lives are often crazy busy which unfortunately leads to loneliness. Although our parents and grandparents generally grew up in homes with lots of brothers and sisters, that just isn't the case any longer. Many people come home to an empty house and as a result, struggle with depression.
When you have a dog or any pet to come home to, it just changes the whole atmosphere and mood of your home. When you walk through your door, your dog comes bounding up to you, always so happy to see you. They have nothing but licks and unconditional love to give you and for someone who lives alone, that is invaluable.
I also believe having a dog provides you with that fulfillment of caring for someone. Everybody needs a reason to get up in the morning and when your happy hound is bouncing on the bed wanting their breakfast, it sure makes it easier to crawl out of bed. They also have doggie day care, pet sitting services and dog walking services now so that your furry friend won't be lonely while you're at work. This relieves any 샌즈카지노 potential guilt someone might have about leaving their dog alone all day.
Your dog can also help you socialize in public. When you take your dog out for their walk, it is very common to meet other dog people. Pet people are generally very friendly and like to talk about their dog too. You can also take advantage of doggie parks or doggie playgrounds if there are any in your area. With you loving dog at your side, these are great places to meet new people and they will be people that you automatically have something in common with.
Stress & Depression - Play With 1 Dog & Call Me In The Morning
If you have spent any time at all with animals, you know that they are extremely sensitive. Dogs seem to be especially sensitive to their owner and often sense when they are upset or when something is not right in your life. Your dog can be aware of your moods and will even try to comfort you. Now that's therapy!
Had a bad day at work? The best medicine in the world is to come home and grab your dog and go for a walk or play ball or even just sit down and have a good petting session. It has been shown that petting animals reduces stress.
Dogs also have a way with children and even teenagers. They are super sensitive to their moods and needs and are always there to listen. Children will quickly learn to rely on a family dog as a confidant and friend that they can trust and count on. Teenagers also secretly confide in their family pets when they will not speak to anyone else in the household.

So take advantage of everything your loving dog or any pet has to offer. The enrichment they can add to your life will lend to your happiness and contentment. Enjoy your dog, love them and by all means, play with them!
Many people, after they've decided to move from a kibble diet to a raw food diet, haven't any idea where to start in order to select a healthful meal for their dog. Considering this, I thought I'd share an example meal I give my own older (age 10 and 12) dogs and why I decided on those items and times. My dogs are older and don't need as much as a pup would. So for an older dog, the menu looks like:
Unlimited throughout the day
For my older dogs, I make sure they've got a 40-30-30 ratio of meat-bone-fat. The meat gives the building blocks for new muscle to develop as well as a stringy consistency for cleaning back teeth. Bone provides the right kind of digestible calcium for a dog's body. Fat, thought to be a bad thing in human diets, provides the opportunity for a dog to floss" their front teeth and helps their digestive tract get the right pH level.
The veggies are selected from all colors available and should include at least one from each color family.
Our selection of fruits are used mostly as treats more than an unlimited sort of food. I select fruits that are easy to carry around for training needs, as well as for digestive and taste preferences.
Raw almonds provide protein, calcium, B vitamins, and healthy fats. My dogs love them, so I use them as a training sort of treat, as well, since they're do just about anything to get me to part with them!
If cold, or if my dog was exceptionally busy, I'll add a second meat meal, in the form of a turkey tail, too. Supplements included provide various benefits, too, such as
Lastly, I need to reiterate a warning about what foods your dog(s) should never, never, never eat.
