I see that you were very literal. So I will put it a different way. Free-speech is protected in the United States so that the citizens do not become subjected to any kind of governmental harassment for saying they object to what the government is doing.
Antiwar, that's your thing. It's not everyone's thing.
Without war we in the USA would still be subject to the crown. Our lives are much better than that now.
