We don't need THAAD, we don't need anymore military equipment and we CAN'T AFFORD it now in getting poorer and poorer.
Likewise THAAD is malign to human health and natural environment, Americans ought to station such feature in their own backyard BEFORE bringing that out, if they really think IT IS SAFE.
East Asia is a most peaceful place in the world where people associate with each other by respect, not by money or power.
East Asia is not a region such belligerent like western people deem of.
East and West are the places totally different from each other.
We are different people with each different culture and value and tradition, and different measure for security as well.
↓This is what I think of our kind of strongest means for national security.
われわれには、THAADは必要ありません、これ以上のどんな軍事装備も必要ありませんし、それにわれわれは、貧乏になるばかりで、もうお金がないのです。
さらに、THAADは人体や自然環境にも悪影響を与えます、アメリカ人たちは、もしも、本当にTHAADが安全だと思うなら、そういうシロモノを、まずは自分たちの家の近くに建ててから、外に持ち出してもらいたいものです。
東アジアは、人々が、お金や力ではなく、敬意によって付き合うという、世界で一番平和な場所です。
東アジアは、西洋人が思っているような、好戦的な場所ではありません。
東洋と西洋は、ぜんぜん違う場所なのです。
われわれは、別々の文化や価値観や伝統を持っていて、安全保障のための方法も違うのです。
この写真↓こそが、私が、安全保障のための最も強力な装備だと思っているものです。

.i have just read from a chinese website about this historic visit on how zhou responded to tanaka's repeated emphasis on his "young" age (54 at that time), how worried zhou's aides were when zhou should not be drinking anymore due to cancer, and how hard the deputies of both sides (ohira masayoshi, ji pengfei, etc...) to work out a joint declaration.
.on a more serious side, there was also a moment when intelligence indicated that radical members of the japanese delegation might assassinate zhou, so the entire waiter/server team at the banquet hall was replaced by internal security unit in disguise. :)

We have to be more grateful for the hospitality of Chinese people!
Anyways Tanaka was a bright, positive man by then, I think he repeated he's young for purpose to a degree, as he meant "Please count on me as I'm not going to die so soon, so any promise you make with me is going to last long".
Unfortunately, he couldn't have kept his promise because he died sooner than supposed.
Assassination was not likely as long as it was Tanaka who led the delegation.
But preparing for misfortune is right, Chinese people being cautious make sense.
I'm not sure if the toast made Mr Zhou's health worsened, but it was worth doing as we can see the friendly picture still today.

われわれは、中国の人たちのもてなしに、もっと感謝をするべきでしょう。
ともかく、このころの田中は、明るくて前向きな人でした、私は彼が、自分は若いと繰り返したというのは、ある程度、意図があったのだろうと思います、「私はそんなにすぐには死にませんから、私と交わした約束は、長持ちしますので、どうか私を信用してください」という意味だったのでしょう。
残念ながら、彼は、思ったよりも早く死んでしまったので、約束を守ることができませんでした。
暗殺は、田中が率いている以上は、有り得なかったと思います。
しかし、不慮の事態に備えるのは、当然です。中国の人たちが警戒するのは、わかります。
乾杯でお酒を飲んだことが、周恩来の健康を悪化させたのかどうかは、わかりませんが、今でもこうやって、友好的な写真を見ることができるのですから、価値のあることだったと思います。
