Happy Pi Day :D
Hehe. Happy Pi day to everyone! We did this fun little activity with Pi this morning in geometry. It dealt with twizzlers and circles. Haha pretty nerdy if you ask me. But eh, that's how my teacher has "fun."
Yeah, so me and my mom got into another arguement the other day.
This time, it was about high school. Right now, I have a huge decision to make before entering high school.
I can choose to take IB (International Baccualaureate..?)
Or stay in Honors classes and take AP classes in 11th and 12th grade.
The thing is, my dream college, UNC Chapel Hill, is hard to get into. It's the best medical school around here. And since I want to be in the medical field in the future, it's perfect for me.
Which is where IB comes in. It looks extremely good on my college app. (especially if I take all 4 years)
The difference between IB and Honors is that in IB, there's a ton of more work, more fast paced, and even more stress. But, IB doesn't give you college credits like AP does.
What I was planning to do, was take IB the first two years of high school, then drop down to Honors and take AP classes in 11th and 12th grade. But even then, I'm not even sure if I can make it into Chapel Hill. Because the only people I know who've gotten accepted took IB all 4 years of HS.
But then again, I don't want to take IB and then basically fail all of my classes due to all of the work.
Because that obviously doesn't help me at all.
I think the levels are:
IB
AP
Honors
Standard
If I'm not mistaken..
I'm totally torn apart on this. Because my teacher and classmates say it's really hard, and your social life is basically gone until summer break. And I mean, I want to do really well in high school, but I still want to socialize and hang out with all my friends. And, of course, come on here and spazz about F.T Island. T___T
And it's not IB in a few classes. They're requiring us to take full IB (which is ALL of your classes, even extra curricular) now if we're going into the IB program.
My sister takes partial IB (she was the last year that they allowed students to take partial IB) and even in that, she's still stressing out every moment of the day. And she says that everyone in there is extremely smart, and they think they're all einsten or something.
My mom basically screamed lectured me about how she didn't have school and education like this in Vietnam.
Cause her family was poor, she couldnt study all the time and instead had to work and help her parents blahblah.
And she said, she put me in IB because she wants to be better off in life in the future.
She said that hard work now will result in easier work later...
But isn't that what all parents say? (especially the asian ones...)
Yeah. So I need your opinions on what I should do.
I know one or two of my classmates who are planning on taking IB.
So at least I won't be totally alone..? Dx

I'm still sad about the movie "The Mist" The ending was sad.

The state testing is coming to an end, so I honestly am half happy and half kinda disappointed
After spring break it's normal school again

they think that i am innocent and that they are more corrupt than I am
but the truth is that I'm only humoring them by not bothering to show them the true power of a pervert

they were able to find an "odd shape" out of my erase (erase size = 3in and ... rather bendy)
so they were asking me if i used my eraser
i knew what they meant in less than a nana (or nano????) second
but i just said that i used it for erasing
so they asked me if i used the eraser of my pencil
and i'm like "yeah... ._."
so some random girl's like
"oh i see...sometimes you use the BIG one sometimes you use the LITTLE one...ahhh.."
so i sat there pretending not to know what they were talking about
it made them feel awkward
so they fought amongst each other about who would be willing to explain it to me

our group is lagging pretty bad
we're not getting things done
and i have myself to blame

they'll need so much time to get it done

but i am flexible with timing
i may normally be asleep during the day
but that's only because i have nothing planned for the daytime and insist on spending my NIGHTS online when i feel less bored

but the other people
they can't be as flexible as i am with time, and that will be a problem for them

meg is fairly nocturnal, but the girl seems to be cutting off her habit of not sleeping until 5AM
