Okay, so being the lazyass that I am...at around 5PM I went to sleep and didn't wake up until 5:30AM because of hunger. So I decided that since we're lacking food (rofl) I should make some french fries.
And so I got the fire started with the pot of oil and stuff and went to turn on the computer and open up a game.
Then I remembered the fries and went into the kitchen to get my stuff set up.
My bag of fries, a pair of chopsticks, and my plate with a towel on it to soak up the oil (fattyyyyyyy)
I wasn't even sure if the oil was ready yet cause it seemed so.....calm...........and still.......it literally seemed like nothing happened to the oil
But okay, I took the rubber band off of the bag of fries and held it over the pot
I tilted the bag and as soon as it hit the oil, I was forced to jump back immediately
What happened?

THE ELFING POT BURST INTO FLAMES COMPLETELY
and you know that air thing above the stove where you can choose to turn on the fan and light?
Yeah, the fire was so big that it hit that part and I stood there looking at that second thinking that everything around me would burst into flames
But the second (literally a second) went by and I was still horrified
The oil was then bubbling to the point where it spilled over the edge of the pot--and the amount of oil in the small pot was only 1/3
And that pot is like...half a foot tall?
It's what we normally use to make ramen.
And I don't think I wanna use a bigass stew pot for fries -_-
But yeah
I immediately turned the knob to turn the fire down--but then I thought it over as I turned and just shut the fire off
Even then the fire kept going
This is because even though i turned it off, the oil that spilled over or "jumped" out of the pot was at the bottom near the fire of the stove, so the fire caught on and it stayed there.
I was scared that it would be there forever, but it eventually stopped
Then the fire detecter started beeping like mad crazy
I had to find some kind of a board to fan it
but we didn't have any
and even though this should have been the very first thought, I didn't think of opening the kitchen window until 3 seconds later
So yeah, I opened the window as wide as it could go and continued to search for a board of some kind so the fire department doesn't kick my door down and tell me about safety TT__TT
I found a dry erase board, but before I could pick that up, the thing stopped
I sighed in relief because I guess the window thing worked really well
I also turned the fan thing on after the window
I guess that worked too
The oil plus the fire immediately heated up the fries from the freezer
so I put them on the plate and dumped more fries in to the pot
this time I kept a good arm length of a distance, I was scared it would happen again
You guys have no idea how suddenly terrifying it is to see something burst into flames right in front of your eyes
I'm grateful that my arm didn't catch on fire, or else I wouldn't even be in front of the computer like this
But yeah, I was shaking so bad
When I was still making more fries, I was thinking "wow I really AM hungry"
But then after I sat down I then realized that I could be shaking from something else
And even now I can't figure out if I was shaking from hunger or fear
I cleaned up the mess of the entire 'oil spill' and came out here to eat and drink milk (^_^ milk makes your cheeks rosy)
I drank a lot of milk cause I guess I needed it to calm me down or something
but it really did calm me down hahaha
So yeah
end of my stupidity
