How to improve your aim -- The Valorant Guide
Hello everyone! My topic today is aiming at Valorant. Valorant is most definitely a game of aim, and by improving your aim, you will improve a large portion of your gameplay and climb the ranks faster.
Here at Boosting Factory, we are proud to offer Valorant boosts. Today we're going to discuss 10 reasons why you have poor aim, and how to fix it. Let's get started without further ado.
Before learning advanced steps to aiming, make sure your basic aiming skills are good enough. You can practice aiming reaction and accuracy by playing this simple aim training game online.
-
Learn how to counter-strafe
If you're not familiar with counter strafing, it's pretty simple. Counter strafing is pressing the opposite direction key when you're moving in one direction and you spot someone, so you can stop moving immediately and make the most precise shot. If you're using the A key to go left and see someone, you instantly press D, and then you start shooting.
As you climb and duels become increasingly tough and sweaty, you will need to start practicing counter-strafing, which is something many players don't use because it's not really necessary in lower ranks.
-
Make Your Position Known to Your Enemies
Valorant, like many FPS games, benefits the aggressor over the angle-holder because it finds it more difficult to hold the angle than the aggressor does. As a result, enemies who know where you are, such as an enemy hiding in a corner, will be able to use counter-strafing against you when they know where you are.
If you're holding a corner that's well-known and enemies will aggressively check it when pushing, you can use this tactic. You shouldn't just sit like a sitting duck when you're holding such an angle and you're aware they're coming.

Don't just flick your aim
- The Flickering Aim
- Aim tracking
- Pre-Aiming
I recommend a video made by our coach Sky who made one for Overwatch, but it works for pretty much any game.
Hence, pre-aiming is important, i.e. placing the crosshairs before tracking to aim for the head. In order to be able to flick to the other side where another enemy is hiding, you have to pick up a kill before you flick.
Unfortunately, as you can see, you would have died before even attempting to flick if you hadn't pre-aimed correctly.
-
Don't crouch all the time
I think crouching when shooting is sometimes a good idea... Against better players with better pre-aim skills, as explained in tip #3, however, against worse players with weaker pre-aim skills, crouching only sets up attacks that aim for your body, resulting in easier headshots.
During a long spray fight where you haven't scored a kill in the first few shots, you'll be able to get a better shot by crouching. Otherwise, crouching instantly is just a bad habit many players have.

Reset And Spray The Right Time
It is largely up to you when you are spraying and trying to prevent the guy from dying. To do this, you can either stop firing and reset spray and hope not to die, or you can make adjustments to spray. Although sprays cannot be fully controlled, every spray contains a random element that can be used effectively.
Usually, the choice is between continuing to spray or trying to reset depending on the range and the amount of damage you have done. If the opponent is close to death due to your damage or damage caused by your teammates, you may want to try and reset, but if you've done very little damage, it's best to simply spray and pray.
With time and practice, you'll be able to feel whether it's time to reset or continue spraying the same way that our Valorant boosting squad does.

The enemy holds every angle
Throughout the map and particularly when pushing the edge, you should keep an eye out for any angles where enemies are or may possibly be. Imagine every loophole on your route as a potential hideout for your enemy, and try to put yourself in that mindset.
Ensure you have placed your crosshairs correctly, add a dash of peeker advantage, and shout CLEAR! Check angles when checking.
-
You should not hold a close angle
Because of this, it's best to get as far away from their route as possible and kill them from a distance rather than a close gunfight where they have the advantage of seeing you from afar. You could also try holding an angle so the players need to check both sides and gamble a 50/50 on where you are, giving you an advantage.

Panicking won't help...
You can't fix this quickly. In essence, it's a matter of practice and confidence. By playing more, reading more guides, and watching more streams, you will gain more confidence. Finally, keep in mind that you can't always shoot like crazy, calm down, and shoot slower if the situation warrants it, no matter if you are shooting pistol rounds or shooting long-range Vandal shots.

Play More Deathmatch
The aim won't magically improve after reading this guide. The guide will give you suggestions as to what to do, however, you will have to spend some actual time practicing. Playing deathmatch is one of the best ways. There's even a guide on what you should be doing more of called The Top 3 Reasons You Should Play More Deathmatch in Valorant. Do what you like, DM or normal is fine, but put in some time.
