16.1. 熟語の on the house
まず具体例の英文を挙げておく。
This wine is on the house.
on the house を直訳して、「家の上に」だの「家に接触して（いる）」としても、
訳がわからない。実は、on the houseは熟語で、
“Some food or drink is provided free of charge by the owner of the restaurant on the bar.”
ということ。つまり、「ここのお店のおごりです」ということ。
16.2. have a full house
劇場や映画館などが<満席>になった状況のことを表してる。
主催者側にとっては、好ましいことであるのはもちろんである。
16.3. have a open house
学校や工場が特定の日や期間に「公開日」を設けて実施することをこう表している。
関心や興味ある人が訪問して参観や視察が出来ることになる。
