Should the government prioritize domestic issues over international issues?
Answer
There has been a lot of debates and discussions about whether or not the government should prioritize domestic issues over international issues. Some people argue that it is difficult for the government to deal with diplomacy without smoothing things over within its country. But I believe the government should prioritize international issues for the following three reasons.
Firstly, too much attention to domestic issues will isolate the country from the world. It will be more difficult for the government to obtain future aid from other nations. The lesser interdependence affects not only relationships with foreign countries but also economy in the country, which will lead to catastrophe of the country.
To prioritize domestic issues over international issues make people's attention to foreign affairs lower. The narrower perspective against the world will give rise to prejudice. People should get exposure to foreign affairs to some degree to keep having well-rounded discretion.
In addition, to keep awareness and related to international issues will lead to world peace. By making a plan of attack and tackling international issues, the nation can apply the methods and the precedent for domestic problems and even prevent occurring the same issues within the country. Both the country and subsidized countries will be developed, and the flow of interdependence will prevail.
In conclusion, for above-mentioned three reasons, to deter the isolation of the country from the world, to keep people's attention against the world issues, and the realization of world peace, I strongly believe the government should prioritize international issues over domestic issues.
