I've heard that eating late is not good. I eat very healthily but can't eat dinner until 10pm after work. I could try to work-in a dinner break at work but that seems pretty inconvenient. I don't go to bed before midnight. Does anyone see any problems or have suggestions?The whole "eating late is BAD" thing is a myth. If you are eating right, it shouldn't be a problem. However, problems can arise if your eating habits are not the best. If you are waiting more than a few hours (4+) between food (either snacks or meals) your body goes into a sort of 'starvation mode' where it starts to conserve calories to ward off starvation. This also means you might over eat when you finally do eat. This is why there is a myth; the overeating causes the weight gain (viewed as bad) not the time of day. Eating late can cause stomach aches and pains (especially if you have acid reflux), but this is not harmful (unless your reflux is severe), just annoying. This can be avoided by not eating immediately before you crawl into bed (which you seem to avoid anyway) and avoiding highly acidic foods (like oranges or coffee) late at night. Just keep eating right (yay veggies!!) and you shouldn't have any problems.
