Mr. Franklin Delano Whitaker, age 77 of Chatsworth, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at his residence.
He served his country for 21 years in the U.S. Air Force having served during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts.
Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, David Whitaker and Maudie Beddie Garland Whitaker; sisters, Maudine Baker and Jackie Whitaker; brothers, Roy Whitaker, Jim Whitaker and Bill Whitaker.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Toyoe M. Whitaker; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kim Whitaker of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Edith and Ronald Chance of Chatsworth, Eilene and Jim Hazel of Chatsworth, Susan Whitaker McHenry of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Dana Davis, Dawn Brown, Michael Whitaker, Brittney Whitaker-Kiser, Hanaleigh Hazel, and Colby McHenry; great-grandchild, Avery Davis; sisters, Adlee Kelley, Shirley Stroop, and Wanda Hargrove; brother, John Whitaker; nieces and nephews also survive.

べトナム戦争、朝鮮戦争を含め21年間アメリカ空軍へ奉仕しました。

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Pastor Wendell Stover officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M.
Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mr. Franklin Delano Whitaker.
