こんにちは！

とてもとても久しぶりの更新です！

今日は、ツイッターでお知り合いになった、フィリピンに親子留学をされているママと

マニラでオフ会！

普段はセブに在住ですが、マニラの学校も試してみるということでのマニラ訪問。

お子さんが学校に行っている時間にお会いしました。

お話を聞いて感じたのは、今や、子供の教育は世界中で選べるっていうこと！

（彼女は、フィリピン以外の国も視野にいれています。）

日本の教育にちょっと「？」って思っている方は、

是非、親子留学も検討してみてくださいね。

教育方針も、本当に様々。いろんなタイプの学校があるようですが、

日本にもある支店（ブランチ？）は、「フリースクール扱い」で義務教育とみなされないそう。。。

でも、今日会ったママさんの、将来こういう子に育って欲しいという想いは、

素晴らしかった！

過保護でも、放任でもない、自立した人生を送っていくために必要なスキルを

つけさせてあげている姿勢。

そして、「ママに選ばされた」のではなく、自分で人生を選びとって欲しいという想い。

「ママは私の犠牲になった」と子どもに感じさせないよう、

子どもが自分でしっかり歩き出したら、今度はママ自身も自分の人生を歩むという決意。

清々しく、凛々しい彼女に惚れました！

私はもう子育て関係ない、と思っていましたが、そろそろ孫のこと考える頃！

今の日本の教育環境の話を聞いて、私も情報だけは持っておいて、

娘たちが行く末に何か手助けができればな、

せめて、娘たちの選択に変なちゃちゃを入れて邪魔しないようにしないとな、

と思った次第です。

Hi guys!

It has been a long time since I posted the last article!

I met a mom who I knew through Twitter, today.

She lives in Cebu with her daughter and visited Manila temporarily.

She wants to try a school in Manila as well.

We met while her daughter went to school.

According to her story, education can be worldwide nowadays!

（She plans to go to other countries as well!）

If you felt something uncomfortable with education in Japan,

you could try to go abroad in order to educate your children.

There are various ways of educating children in the world.

Some school which stands on a certain method is not authorized by the Japanese government.

Those schools are regarded as just "free schools" not compulsory schools.

Anyway, a mom I met today had a great vision for how to educate her kid.

It was not overprotective nor neglective.

She really looks at how to have her kid to get a skill of obtaining fruitful life herself.

She hopes that her daughter never thinks her mom pushed her to choose her life.

And also she hopes that her kid never feels her mom sacrificed her life to her.

After her kid starts walking her own life herself, a mom will make her own life fulfill, she said.

How fantastic she is! I love her way of thinking.

I thought those topics are not related to me because my daughters are already grown up.

I forgot my grandchildren who are supposed to come up in the near future! (Maybe)

I should know the information about education in recent Japan.

In the future, I hope I would help my daughters to grow up their children.

At least I hope I would not disturb my daughters' decision about the education of their kids.
