Hillsong United!

Hi all!

I have been to a church called "New Creation Church" these days, and they just had an Yough Conference in mid July.

They invited Hillsong United from Australia and Pastor Judah Smith from Generation Church in Seatle. It was a HUGE conference, it was at EXPO, amybe 20min MRT ride from central city. Wether is so beautiful.

I see tall buildings everyday, so it was ncie to see blue sky and nature..I guess I should go outside of ciy more often! Conference started from 1pm, but the actual concert started from 7pm.

They started with live music with Hillsong United. It was nice to worship with live hillsong music. Earlier that day, at their interview, they emphasized they are same as us, serving God through Church, nothing more and nothing less. I guess because people tend to see "Hillsong" as not church worship music ministry, but more like a professional christian band...I think it was encouraging message to especially teenage people (most of audience that day).

I was talking to my friend, it is difficult to draw a line between enjoying music and worship God especially this type of settings. It can be a live music concert, people just get excited and jump around with beats...but worship is not getting excited to a music...

btw, you would love this sing at the conference. "Unauthorised durians will be escorted backstage"hahaha.

I thought it was a joke, but the other day, I was at Zara in Takashimaya, and smelled something super bad, .one lady had durians in her bag! Everyone was looking at her... I heard clarks were talking "I like Durians but cannot stand its smell!"...agree! Eveyone be carefull;-)

Turky Dinner

待ちにまった週末です。

今日は、一週間分の睡眠不足を解消すべく午前中は爆睡していました。お昼に起きたら、すっきり☆

頑張って、洋服の荷解きをしてすべてクローゼットに入れました！まだ、大量の本を片付けてないけど、、それはまた来週。

ブログをアップしていなかった間に何をしていたかといいますと、、先週の土曜日は神戸の友達つながりで

お知り合いになったシンガポール在住の日本人のお姉さんたちとお家ディナーしました！

とっても楽しかったぁ。５年もシンガポールに住んでいるとこんなに詳しくなるんだなぁと思った。

おいしいご飯を食べて満足な顔の写真を一枚。

ご無沙汰しております。。

長らく更新してなくてごめんなさい。もともと日記は苦手なんだけど、これは三日坊主にならないように頑張ろう！って決めたので頑張ります

やっとシンガポールのオフィスにもなれて、やっぱり最近も遅くまで働いてます。来たばかりのころは、時差のおかげで1時間早く起きれてたのに、今では、ぎりぎり8時過ぎにおきて9時までになんとか出社してる感じ。

週末は、すこーーーしづつ部屋を片付けてます。IKEAに行って、本棚を買って、ソファとテレビが届いて、、ちょっとづつ部屋作りをしてます。まだ基本的にダンボールの山だけど（笑）。

昨日、大学時代の友達とチャットしてて、めちゃくちゃ会いたくなったから、無理やり来週末遊びにおいでよってさそっちゃいました。もし着てくれたら本当にうれしいなぁ。　来ることが決まったら、しっかり掃除するからねMarky そして、もうちょっときれいになったら、家の写真もアップするね。

By the way, you know "American Idol"? Recently they finished the latest season in the States.

It was on the TV here, too. It was quite interesting to see final 2 singers, they were quite opposite. I liked them both. I hope their future to be successful....

Then, on June 6 Sat, I was on a taxi with an indian lady passing by the Cathay (a nice cinecomplex)

There were lots of people lining up. It was an audition for the "Singapore Idol"!!

Wow, I did not know they have Singapore Idol....it's gonna be quite interesting. I will update you guys once they start the show.

1st guest to my house

Hi everyone,

Sorry that I haven't updated this blog for a while.

I got a first guest to my house last evening....it is Miranti!
She works at same department, she is one of good friends at Singapore. I met her when she was in Japan for her business trip, and we actually went to Kyoto together last summer...wow it's been a while since then!

Well, she works very hard until late, and she looked very tired (and I also was quite tired after series of meetings), so we decided to eat dinner together at my place.

We stopped at Cold Storage at Novena Square, got some veggies and chicken. Originally we wanted to leave office around 7:30, but end up arriving at my place around 8:30..haha as usual.

We cooked some japanese food, and had a chat for a while. It is always nice to have a friend who can freely share the random things.

New house!

Hi guys.

How was your weekend? I want to introduce my new house today

Since my sea shipment hasn't arrived yet, furniture you see is all rental..haha (very nice, isn't it?). It is great location, close to the super market, MRT station. Yet very quiet except morning birds :-P

BUT... there maybe a construction happening in front of this building..! I found a sign post on the street this morning, saying "COMING SOON"...what's coming soon? of course a new condo, just like everywhere else in Singapore! sigh... sayonara to the beautiful view from the window......and peaceful morning and night.

I guess I just have to appreciate nice and quiet environment for now

今日は、母がまだ家でせっせと荷解きの手伝いをしてくれているので、7時に出社して早く帰ってきました。

夕方の7時はこちらは全然明るいので、近くまでお散歩。街のど真ん中にあるIstana Parkという公園に行ってきました。公園というよりちょっとしたお庭のようなところ。

こちらの木々は、実家の山口でも山奥に分け入らないと見られないような巨木しかありません。さすが熱帯です。母の後ろ姿は、今からジャングルに入る探検家のよう。。。（注：あくまで道路と道路の真ん中です。。）

こうやって街の真ん中で森林浴できるのは、シンガポールの素敵なところだと思います。

週末いろんなことをしたので、またおいおいアップさせていただきます。ではまた。
