He pitched in the ninth inning, and allowed two hits, one walk and one earned run.

HEROES and the Carp

No one else thinks the Hiroshima Carp relates to HEROES, a NBC drama television series.

Hiro Nakamura, a fictional character on the drama, is nicknamed "Carp".
Cause Hiro looks like carp when he speaks.

According to the online comic on NBC.com, Hiro is named after Hiroshima. (From wikipedia"Hiro Nakamura")
So I guess Hiro's nickname "Carp" derived from the Hiroshima Carp.

Mike resumed throwing!

Mike Schultz resumed throwing bullpens Sunday after experiencing shoulder discomfort about six weeks ago.

According to sports papers, Mike trained at Hiroshima Municipal Stadium on Tuesday, and showed his pitching to Manager and coaches.

He said through a spokesman that his shoulder condition would have been recovering 50 percent by now.
