I don't hide the fact that I don't like Russia as it is now, but I still think that Russian history is pretty great.
So, the holiday.

It is called National Unity Day.
It commemorates the uprising which expelled occupation forces from Moscow in November 1612.
Leaders of the uprising:
It was also the end of the period called "Time of Troubles", when the throne was occupied by
impostors who pretended to be the real Tsar.
So, this year it was 400th Anniversary.

Pretty great, isn't it?
And the city I'm living in at the moment, Yaroslavl, played an important role in that uprising.
It was an alternative capital at that time.

Probably I'm proud a bit haha
Anyway, while it's an extra day off, everything is fine!

Tomorrow I'll write a bit about me celebrating it with friends~
