突然届いたストライキ通知メール・・・とほほ

Strike action on Arriva Trains Wales services　- 27th & 28th February 2011‏

と題したメールが届いた・・・とほほほ。

28日月曜日、BiometricのためLiverpoolに電車で行こうと思って、チケットまでゲットしたというのに、

ストライキだとは。本当にバッド・ラック。ついてない。

以下、届いたメール。あまりに機械的な内容に腹立つ！

Arriva Trains Wales has been advised by the ASLEF trade union of the threat of strike action by their members intended for:

Sunday 27 February 2011

Monday 28 February 2011

No Arriva Trains Wales service will operate on these date.

As a result of this action, early services on Tuesday 1 March 2011 may action, early services on Tuesday 1 March 2011 may also be affected.

Customers are advised to make alternative arrangements to complete their journeys if travel on the affected dates in unavodable. Other train operators' services are not affected, however no replacement road transport will be provided in place of Arriva Trains Wales services.

Booking Biometric Test

昨日、ようやく８時過ぎになって、VISA 更新のための

Biometric test の日時を online booking できました。

夜になって、HOME OFFICE のサーバー負荷が減ったのか、

たまたまなのかはわかりませんが・・・(^^;

そんなこんなで、来週月曜日にLiverpoolに行くことにしました。

一年ぶりぃ～。

今回は、学会でもないので荷物は少ないし、B&Bに宿泊もしない。

Liverpoolは都会で、Walesの田舎ばかりをドライブしてる私にとっては、

運転中、かなり精神的ストレスがかかる。

しかもパーキングスペースが少なくて見つけにくし、高い。

なので、電車で行くことにしました。

日帰り、往復、学生のレールカード利用で、約£17。

日本円にすると、今の換算レートで2300円ぐらい。

電車で大阪から姫路に行くような感じかな？

VISA の更新

３年前にVISAを更新したのだが、

その時とシステムが大きく変わっていて、

めちゃ、大変・・・

３年前だったら、提出してから１ヶ月ぐらいでVISAが更新できたのに。

一ヶ月経って、ようやく Letter が届いたと思ったら、

Biometric Test の通知である。いわゆる指紋採取。

それには２通りの方法があって、

指定されているPost Officeに行くか、

Home Office のブランチに行くかである。

便利なのは、アポ不要のPost Office。

でも、これはほとんどが、London。

私の住んでるところから最も近いのは、

Liverpool にあるHome Officeで、アポ必要。

そこで、On-Line Booking システムを利用してアポ取ろうとしたら、

システムが混んでいて、必要な個人情報を幾度入力しても、

最後の最後で、現在、システムがBusyのため、

時間を置いて利用してください、とのメッセージ!!!

電話が苦手なので、時間を置いてやってみるしかない。

しゃぁないなぁもぉ～。
