I did lots of research before deciding to buy this particular machine and I feel I made the right choice. It sure cuts down on cleaning time by vacuuming and wet scrubbing the floors at the same time. The floors don't get soaked either. This suctions the water so well that my floors dry in about 5 minutes. On auto mode it detects the amount of dirt it's picking up and increases the water output and suction as needed. There's also a max mode which boosts the water output and suction continuously. The cleaning solution is pricey but you only need a capful per tank fill up so it lasts a long time. What sold me on this machine as opposed to other brands is that it's cordless and the brush roll extends from edge to edge to get right up to the baseboards. It has a self cleaning cycle which does well to clean the brush roll and wring the extra water out of it. You still have to take it apart and clean out the dirty water tank and wipe off the inside around where the brush roll sits but it takes no time at all to do that. If you want to save a few bucks get the S5 Pro. I believe the only difference is the brush roll only extends to the edge on one side and not the other. Definitely recommend.

After we got engineered hardwood floors installed I did a ton of research on the best way to clean them. Steam cleaners are too hot for the glue under flooring and can cause damage to real wood. The mops with pre-moistened pads would dry out too quickly and I didn’t want the ingredients to damage the top layer. I had a spin mop and would have to really spin it multiple times to make sure it wasn’t too wet.
This wet dry vacuum is really the best option if you have real wood or are wanting something that will do the dual job of picking up a lot of debris while simultaneously mopping.
I had an earlier model which only had the close edge feature on one side. However this one has the close edge feature on both sides. Honestly at first you might not think thats too big of a deal, but when using this on stairs you really need to have the close edge on both sides. Otherwise it’s a lot harder to try and maneuver it so the one close side is always near the inner corner.
This one has a large water container, and with a single charge I can do about one level of my house (so about 1500sq ft) before needing to recharge. My whole house is wood so tends to take a bit longer, however this is definitely a lot quicker than other mopping methods I’ve tried.
The buttons are easy to use and it tells you when the dirty water tank is full or the brush roller needs to be cleaned. It’s self cleaning so you just stick it on the charging port and press the clean mode.
It also shows you by the light up ring, when certain areas of your floor are dirtier (it’ll turn red).
This is my favorite floor cleaning tool and makes taking care of hardwoods quick and easy!
