Fujitsu Indonesia's Head of Commercial & Clients Group, Joni Irwanto said, based on the latest data from the IDC research institute, Fujitsu's market share in Indonesia for the document scanner business reached more than 30 percent. Fujitsu also managed to become the market leader for six consecutive years.
"The document scanner market in Indonesia reaches more than 20,000 units per year. Fujitsu is the market leader by controlling more than 30 percent of the market share. This year, we also target to further strengthen market share and increase the number of units sold," said Joni Irwanto, at the ScanSnap iX1500 scanner launch event, in Jakarta, Tuesday (03/19/2019).
According to Joni, the policy of "Making Indonesia 4.0" played a huge role in advancing the document scanner business. The need for digitizing company documents in Indonesia is now increasingly high, because every company must deal with documents that are needed in routine operations.
Therefore, Fujitsu will continue to innovate by launching the latest products. In addition, the sales network and after-sales service will also continue to be expanded. For reseller networks, Fujitsu Indonesia is currently working with around 20 companies. While after-sales service is available in more than 100 points.
"For document scanners, we have about 20 models from personal to industrial needs. We will continue to complete this product variety because that is our strength to become a market leader. After the launch of ScanSnap iX1500, we also plan to launch one new models again, "Joni said.
Product innovation is also a matter of concern to Fujitsu. For example for ScanSnap iX1500 Driver products are supported by artificial intelligence (AI) technology that allows the scanner to learn and adapt to user habits.
Scanner Product Manager of PT Fujitsu Indonesia, Geotama Riamputra said, through AI technology, ScanSnap iX1500 can automatically scan to follow the size of the paper, recognize documents, to suggest the document title. Without having to rename a file that has been scanned, AI technology on ScanSnap iX1500 can automatically read parts of the text in a document to be used as the file title. In addition, this scanner can also be connected directly to computers and smart devices for scanning using WiFi.
"Compared to ScanSnap iX500, this scanner is also equipped with a 4.3-inch LCD screen. Scanner settings can be directly carried out on this LCD screen, so it can make it easier to use," Geotama Riamputra said.
Fujitsu ScanSnap iX1500 has speeds of up to 30 sheets of paper per minute. The maximum paper size is A3 and can hold up to 50 sheets.
