I'm back to the sleep-FROM-morning-TILL-afternoon life.
I tried to sleep early (1.30AM) yesterday but I still ended up sleeping till 12PM.
Guess I was just lazy to wake up. Everyday.
I don't know why.
Apparently, japanese speaking jobs are hard to find.
As in, those that I'm interested in.
I've also noticed that salaries on average have DROPPED.
MUST be FTs.
Damn it.
I don't know how to be faster (already very fast), cheaper (already underpaid) and better (already do the best in work).
Anyway, if not for FTs, the situation would not have been so bad, most probably.
Well, who says FT ARE faster, better and cheaper?
It's just a matter of point of view.
You look at 1 hardworking FTs out of 10,000, then comment that they are oh-so-great,
and you look at 1 out of 10 locals who are oh-so-lousy,
you conclude that locals are lousy and FTs are great.
Where's the fairness?
For all we know, that 1 local might be PR or New citizens, as they always like to include them in locals.
Everywhere in the world, of course there will be good and bad people.
Apparently discriminations of other races seem to be illegal, why are our own gahmen and employers discriminatings locals, just because we expect higher salaries?
EXPLOITATION.
I've learnt this in marketing: When there is a demand, there will be a supply.
Like, FTs enjoys being exploited and employers takes the advantage.
Supply is even more than demand in this case.
No wonder we are the most not-united and not-committed-to-country loh.
How many people out there actually have a sense of belonging to this country?
And are we THAT successful??
When I go overseas, it's not even surprising that people have never heard of Singapore.
And I bet those tourist who comes here without doing any research will go back thinking Singapore belongs to part of Philippines/China.
Anyways, just take it as, I'm too hiam and lazy to find job loh.
Maybe, I'm blacklisted by all the Japanese speaking recruitment agencies.
It seems that they never reply at all.
It was not like this the last time I was looking for jobs.
Yeah, I suck.
There's this agency I shall name it J, which is kinda crappy.
I went to the interview though I knew my time will be wasted.
6 consultants interviewed me and they asked almost the same questions.
They said they will contact me if there's any suitable positions.
Standard sentence that is.
Apparently, the positions they have aren't THAT good either.
The typical type who will push all kinds of positions to you.
Maybe because I don't know how to reject.
Or maybe because previously I have rejected then kena ignored so don't dare to reject.
OK loh.
I guess those that put this sentence "Only Singaporeans and PRs need apply." should edit their sentence.
Either they add in some words or delete some.
E.g.
1. Only NEW Singaporeans and PRs need apply.
2. Only PRs need apply.
3. Original Singaporeans need not apply.
I have actually seen many times for no.3 (of cos' without the word "original").
I felt like I'm in a foreign land trying to find a job with difficulties just because I'm a foreigner.
In reality, I am not foreigner but being treated like one.
Do you really think FTs are lowly paid?
Yes for those in the retail, construction, etc low skilled.
But for those like office jobs, many of them are actually getting higher pay then S'poreans OK?
Just because employers have the thinking that FTs are cheaper, better and faster.
Who made them have the thinking? Up to your imagination.
Who cares if we Lesser Mortals are suffering...
Guess I have no choice but to rot and die.
**Just venting my frustration and NOT trying to be against/support of anyone or anything.
