Host family

Hi!

I was told that my host family was determinded. My fost families are host mother and her doughter. The doughter is student and almost same age with me. I researched the map. It seems to be very distance from school to house, also it seems to be very distance from bus stop to my host family's house. It probably will take me over 30 minutes from house to bus stop. I can easily walk over 30 minutes in Japan, because I am a tough girl and Japan is safe place. I read that article that it is very dengerous to walk such a long time in Losangels especially for woman. So I am warried about the bulgar or somehing danger. I dont't know the life style in the US. Most of the American people use car to commute, but I have no international driver's licence. What should I do?
Is it safe to walk such a long time by myself?????

I'd like to ask my fost family but there seems to be no contact information except phone.
I talked with my agent abou that, and he said it is normal to take such a long time. Other home stay is as same as my pattern. Is it true?

Actually I don't know the American style, do many American people walk such a long time?
I am warried about that.

Preparation

In this 3 days vacation, I did preparation for the next month's study in the US.
This is my first visit to abroad so I have to buy a lot of things. I went to UNICLO to buy my cloth, roomwear, hat, sunglass and underwear. I bought all in sales. So it took me only a little money.
I bought medicine because I heard that American medicine is too big for Japanese people, some of them even feels worrier when they take it. I hope that there will be no need to use this medicine.

In 3 days short vacation, my family went to the Japanese sushi restorunt. Sushi is one of my favorite foods so I ate a lot of it, In the US, I will probably a lot of meat. So I eat Japanese sushi. But I heard that LA has a lot of Japanese restoulant include sushi. The ITAMAE is not onle Japanese but also American people. I was shocked the fact that. But there are a lot of Japanese cook in Chinise restoulant in Japan.
SO there seems to no wander.

I took my dog to near big park. He is only 2 years old　and spoiled child. I am really warried about him. He will probably miss me very much. But my mother and father will take care of him. So he will be OK

Recently I have been reading a books which is about the economics. My major in the university is literture so it is quite different study field. But I'd like to work around the world in the future and I thought that it is very inmortant to study economics or world situations.

iPAD or laptop

I am wandering about right now about the PC.
I bought new PC to bring it to the US, but it is alot of heavy to bring it to school every day.
Probably my school and home stay house are in a distance. So I am wandering about buying a iPAD.
It is very right so you can bring it very easily. But I have heard that it is too dangerous to bring a iPAD everywhere there are a lot of robbery in the US.
It is the best way that I will take a iPHONE in the US, but I have already bought a prepaid cell phone, which is very low cost. So I don't want to spend another money. My father said that I have to bring a laptop and my brother said I should bring a iPAD
Both saied right things, so I am wandering which tools should I bring to.

TED

HI!

Recently I have been watching TED on the internet, which is very interesting.
At first it is too difficult to listen to it, but you could be get used to it.
It is too difficult to listening the theme which is unfamiliar to you, in my own case, I am not good at natural science. But in which erea you are familiar to, in my own case, every day life style or literature or philosophy, it is very easy to listening to it. So at first, you should start with the theme which is familiar to you. I gess it is easier to listening woman's speach than man, I don't know the reason, but I think so.

In TED's advantage is that you can grow yourself by listening to it not only improve your english skills.
Because it has a lot of nice story, sometimes you laugh at or sometimes you would be crying.
In my favorite topic is "The game that can gime you 10 extra years of life". This woman speaks very clearly, so it is easy to listening to it. The content is very beautiful, I was crying when heard her speach.
Also it is very funny, you could be learn something from her speach!
So please hear that

VISA ploblems 2

Hoy are you today? I'm feeling great

Tomorrow I was very nervous about the VISA ploblems, but today I founｄ a solution to this visa ploblems.
In my own case, I have to reissue the F1 VISA, because in my schedule I would not be in time foe the Unicersity's application dead line. So I was thinking about reissuing the F1 VISA. But right now it is very very difficult to get a second F1visa in such a short period, except you have a formal reason like a your parents are in sick so you have to take care of them or something like that. But in my own case, I merely dismiss a dead line, so my agent said in this reason it will be very difficult to get a second F1visa.
I was in big troubles

But today I found the solution
Before I go to the University, I can enroll a private language school, if I do this, I would be in the US within 5 month. So this ploblems was solved In this case's difficult point is that I have to spend extra money for private lauguage school, but it would be Ok with me if I can go to the US.
I learned from this experience that I have to research well before I do actions.

It is only two weeks before I wil go to the US. I am really looking forward to it. I wanna go to the Hallywood because I am huge fun of Hallywood movies especially romantic comedies. I would be happened to meet a movies star! I will take notebook and camera everytime.

VISA ploblems

Today I have a very big ploblems about the VISA
I went to the study abroad agent today to talk about this ploblem.
Do you know that when you go to the US, you have to deal with a VISA ploblems.
There is a several rules about the VISA. When you are in the US, and you wanna go to the other country for travel or going back to the Japan, you must return to the US within 5 months. If you return to the US within 5 months there is a no ploblems, but if you go over the 5 months, you must reissue the F1 visa.

About the F1visa
There is a several kind of visa types in the US. If you study in the US, you will be issued of F1 visa which means you are student and don't do a job except part time job in the university. If you worked in the F1 visa, you would be　banished from the US. If you wanna work in the US, you have to be issued of work type visa(sorry I don't remember the exact name). But I have heard that it is very difficult to get a work type visa, if you wanna work in the US, you should go to the graduate school to get a master's degree especially if you are Japanese. There is no ploblems in the American peoples. If you have a green card, the stories would be different. There is a several kinds of method to get a green card. But I'd like to talk　about this topic another day. It is a little bit difficult to explain.

In my personal reason, in this schedule, I have to reissue the visa. But I was told that it is difficult to get a second visa in such a short period, In recent months, there is a lot of peoples who were rejected to get a visa. So I have to avoid reissuing another visa. In conclusion, I have to reschedule my study abroad plan at a time like thisI will be in the California next month, I sincerly hope so.

Tomorrow I have to research another study abroad plogrum to solve this ploblem
It will become a very busy day tomorrow.
But I will try everything to realize my dream come true

Dancing

Hi!

I went to the gym today. I took a two lessons. I have been went to the gym over 2 years, before I went to the gym I was very weak person, and I dindn't have much strength. But I thought that if you have to work in the US, you need a strength to succeed in the job, so I started jogging around my house with my dog and mom. But it is too dangerous because I live in a very big city, so there is a lot of cars, I almost hitted to the car. There is no big park near my house, I have to drive a car to go to the nearist big park, but I am a paper driver, so this is impossible to find a jogging place. So I was thinking another method to gaim my stamina.

One day I was told that it is very useful to go to a gym, you can take exerｃize and also take a bath. Actually I really like to take a bath. When I am　in home I often take a bath over 1 hours. I am reading a book in my bath. It is a very reraxing place in the world. So I decided to go to the gym with my mom
My mom wanted to lose her weight, In conclusion, she lose her weight over 10kg in about a two year, so I think the exercize is very good to your health. I haven't lose my weight, because I was noa a fat person but I gained a big muscle so I think that the gym is also very good to me. I wanna continue exercize whereever I will go.
I tried all kinds of exercize in the gym, starting with swimming, yoga, dancing, aerobics. I really funed all kinds of sports. But I like dancing almost all especially I really like belly dance. When you wear the arabic costume, you really feel like a real dancer! It is very fun, I often lose myself when I am dansing, so this is very stress free time I wanna learn other kinds of dancing like a salsa or latin in the US. I often watch YouTube when I practice dancing in my house, it is more beautiful when I see american dancer than Japanese unfortunately, this is probably the problem of the style I think.

Tomorrow I will go to the study abroad agent to talk about my next month's short trip to the US. I will go to California next month to decide which University I gonna attend to. Actualy I wanna go to the NY and Boston also, but I heard that NY and Boston is really in cold in the winter. So I decided to go the California. Because it is all sunny and warm in the California through the year. I can play all kinds of sports there, I wanna try to the marin sports like a yacht or surfing. I am really exciting!!!

Failor to launch

Today's topic is about the movie. "Failor to launch"is just I'm watching.
It is a little interesting movies. Chief charactor is 35 years old boy, who still lives in his parent's house with his mom and dad. In Japan, it is not rare to live with your parents, but in the US it is very unusual to live with your parents. Most of the university students pay their tution by themself. I admired them.
In this movie, his parenta are really worried about their son because he seems to not getting out. So his parents hired a woman who can manage in this kind of case, and she has been successful in her job.
But there is a big problem Actually he is not a so called "looser"but he has a secret about his former lover. The secret is......his former lover was dead in six years ago, and he can not recover himself.

Today's topic is about the book.
"Can you keep a secret?" I have just finished reading this book. This is a very interesting book.
Emma works for a big company in England and got a boyfrend, who seems to very content with her own life. But she has a lot of secrets, and there is something she has to overcome, actually she doesn't know what is it.
One day, she got a tarbulance in the air plane and she spoke all her secrets to a complete stranger who were next to her on the plane. She thought she gonna die and spoken all her secrets to complete stranger, and several days after she went to her company, and she met this stranger. He is the CEO of the company where she is working for. This is a big problem to her. Ths story bigins with this.......
The ending is of course happy end I rarery read except happy ending, because if you read sad story, you feel very lonely, but if you read happy story you can cheere you up

The next book which I gonna read is"And then there werw none" which is very famous book by Agatha Christie. Actually I read this book in my high school, it is probably second or third time to read this book.I often read same book if which is interesting. Every time you read it, you will find something to learn.

Today I cleaned my poodle's house, which was very stink because of this hot weather. I'd like to take my dog to near the big park before I go to the US. He probably will miss me.　Actually I am really looking forward to going to the US, but there is only one thing I'm warried about is my dog. He is only little and I play with him every day so he will plobably miss me. But I canno't go with him, so he would be taken care of by my mom and dad But he likes all of my family so he will probably be fine I belieave so

I haven't been writing in this blog because I'm really busy now.

I'm in preparation for the next month.
I bought a lot of things like a trunk, underware, presents for hostfamily or
bathing tools.

Today's topic is about the host family

I will stay in the host family's house. I requeseted old couples, because the rumore said that many former international student was very happy with old couples! Usually they are retired couples and their children already went out, so plobably they have a lot of time and energy than the other people
If they had no grandchildren they would treat you like a real children. This is my first visit to abroad so I sincerely hope that my hostfamily would be a nice person. Actually I havn't noticed yet about the information of my host family. Usually the agent tell me that one or two week before the visit to the US, so I'm really worried about the present and I bought two presents. One is Japanese ORIGAMI and the other is Japanese beautiful picture. ORIGAMI seems to rare in the US and if there is a children in your host's house you can play with them, the children would be very happy with it. The Japanes Picture is aboutHAKONE. I'd like to tell them about Japanese beautiful place, if you have Japanese pictures it would be very easy for you to explain it. Maybe old people would like it.

I'm worried about the bathing ploblems.
Actually I really like to take a bath. But in the US, they rarely take a bath, they use a shower only　besides they take a 5-10 min to take a shower. I have really long hair so it is impossible to take a shower in such a short time. This is a very big ploblem If someone know the solution, don't hesitate to tell me
