Being a Japanese girl

Recently I found it very difficult to be strong, confident and different from others if you are a Japanese girl.

It's funny that I say this because I was born here and grew up here.

I like to be an actress but it seems almost impossible to be an actress and still respect myself in Japan.

There's a stupid system here that girls have to be liked by men first on male magazines wearing swim suits looking at least 10 year old younger before actually being popular on TV.

I don't watch Japanese TV shows much because almost all the actresses look f*cking same, boring, naive, and submissive. They all act like perfect girls for Japanese men, not for women. And I'm not going to sell myself like that.

People tell me to be either sweet but stupid or looking intelligent but boring. Both are the types of girls Japanese men like, weak girls who are easy to control. Of course I act in front of cameras but nobody can tell me who to be. I hate acting like a complete idiot like most Japanese girls do just to be popular among men.

It's really embarrasing to see some Japanese girls being so cheap when they are with foreign men. No wonder western guys talk to me as if they knew I would say Yes no matter what they say.

I'm fed up with people telling me to be same as other girls because I'm not trying to be different. If they think I'm too different that's the way I am.
