Vertebrae are examples of irregular shaped bones. Wrist and anlde bones are examples of short bones. The humerus bone of the arm and the femur bone of the leg are examples of long bones. The skeletal system is usually divided into the axial skeleton and the appendicular skeleton. The axial skeleton consists of the skull, spinal column (made up of 33 vertebrae) and the ribs (12 pairs). The appendicular skeleton consists of the bones of the shoulder and arms and those of the pelvis and legs. Healthy bones combine strength and weight-bearing ability with lightness in weight. 例題:骨の主な形状を4つ挙げよflat bones, irregular shaped bones, short bones, long bones例題:骨格系は大きく分けて二つに分けられるがその二つはなにかthe axial skeleton, the appendicular skeleton●Chapter 3 筋肉系 P.26 L.6〜P.27 L.2Ligament is fibrous tissue that holds organs of the body in place and fastens bones together. Ligaments are grouped together in cords, bands, or sheets. They are as strong as rope. A sprain occurs when ligaments covering a joint are torn or twisted. A sprained ankle is the partial tearing of the ligaments that bind the bones of the lower leg to the bones of the foot. Ligaments heal slowly. They may never heal if they are completely torn apart. Treatment of sprained ligaments may include exercise, supportive bandages or splints, or even surgery, depending on the ligaments involved and the severity of the injury. A sprain occurs when ligaments covering a joint are torn or twisted.例題:捻挫した靭帯の治療法を四つ挙げよexercise, supportive bandages, splint, surgery.②単語●The skeletal systemaxial skeleton 軸骨格cranium 頭蓋骨zygomatic bone 頬骨maxilla 上顎骨mandible 下顎骨clavicle 鎖骨sternum 胸骨costa 肋骨spine 脊柱sacrum 仙骨coccyx 尾骨coxae 寛骨ilium 腸骨pubis 恥骨ischium 坐骨appendicular skeleton 体肢骨格scapula 肩甲骨humerus 上腕骨radius 橈骨ulna 尺骨carpus 手根骨metacarpus 中手骨phalanges of finger 手指骨femur 大腿骨patella 膝蓋骨tibia 脛骨fibula 腓骨tarsus 足根骨metatarsus 中足骨phalanges of toe 足根骨marrow 髄(骨髄)periosteum 骨膜osteoblast 骨芽細胞hinge joint 蝶番関節pivot joint 車軸関節ball-and-socket joint 球窩関節skeleton 骨格vertebrae 脊椎 単:vertebracartilage 軟骨synovial fluid 滑液ligament 靭帯sprain 捻挫(させる)dislocate 脱臼(させる)inflammation 炎症infection 感染●The Circulatory Systempulmonary artery 肺動脈(lungs)肺pulmonary vein 肺静脈(heart)心臓aortae 大動脈 単:aortaarteries 動脈 単:arteryarterioles 細動脈 単:arteriolecapillaries 毛細血管 単:capillaryvenules 細動脈 単:venuleveins 静脈 単:veinvenae cavae 大静脈 単:vena cava③ Review Question●Chapter 2 P.141.How many bones does the human body have? The human body has 207-210 bones.●Chapter 3 P.291.Of what substance are tendon and ligament made up? They are made up of fibrous tissue.●Chapter 4 P.376.Write the meaning of the underlined part of the following words. 2)endocardium 内の 3)pericardium 周辺5)myocarditis 炎症6)thrombosis 凝固7)subclavian artery 下・副9)erythrocytes 赤い④ 後期試験用練習問題①The skeletal system is usually divided into the ( axial ) skeleton and the ( appendicular ) skeleton.②A liquid called ( synovial fluid ) keeps the joints moist and lubricated.③Those vessels that carry blood away from the heart are known as ( arteries ) .④The center of bone contains ( marrow ) in which are found. blood vessels, fat cells, and some blood forming tissue.⑤( ball-and-socket joints ) allow the greatest freedom of movement. These joints are made up of a large round end of a long bone that fits into the hollow of another bone.⑥The circulatory system consists of the ( heart ) , the blood vessels, and ( blood ) .⑦( Hinge joint ) are those that permit a forward and backward motion in one plane, like the motion of a door on its hinges.⑧( Tendon ) , also called sinew, is a strong white cord that attaches muscles to bones.⑨Dissolved ( oxygen ) from the lungs and food materials are carried by the blood to the cells via the ( capillaries ).⑩( Pivot joints ) give a rotating motion, such as the movement of the head from side to side.⑪Movement consists sometimes of ( locomotion ) , sometimes of movements of parts of the body, sometimes of changes in the size of openings, sometimes of ( propulsion ) of substances through tubes, for example.⑫Bones are held together at the joint by strong ( ligaments ) that attach above and below the joint.⑤和訳完成問題 (穴埋め形式)The circulatory system consists of the ( heart ) , the ( blood vessels ), and blood. The heart is a ( muscular ) organ that rhythmically ( contracts ) , forcing the blood through a system of vessels. Those vessels that carry blood away from the heart are known as ( arteries ).Vessels that carry blood to the heart are known as ( veins ). The larger veins below the levels of the heart have to prevent ( the backward flow ) of the blood. The small vessels that make up the network of channels between the arteries and veins are known as ( capillaries ). When the ( left ventricle ) of the heart contracts, the blood is forced to flow out and into the body' s larger artery, ( the aorta ).Branches from the aorta carry the blood upward to the head and downward to the ( body' s trunk ) and ( extremities ). N=nurse, P=patient●Unit7N:Excuse me, ma'am.
