woke up this morning to find my left eye all red and teary..
couldn't force my eye to accept contact lenses (the lenses kept on popping out, total refusal),
i finally gave up and went to school with glasses (ugh).
Usually, I believe in curing myself, seldom visit doctors nor take medicine,
but it got to the point where sunlight bothered me so much I didn't want to part with my sunglasses
+ my classmate thought my eye looked like it was literally bleeding,
i gave a call and made a reservation with World Link @ Portman.
anyway.
Portman (the area with the Rit'zzz Carlton Hotel + PAUL, City Super; in other words, space reserved mainly for Chinese billionaires and expats in Shanghai..)
is always a good place to go when you're a bit sick of screaming China, = me today.
With 1 hour to kill before my appointment, i grabbed a coffee,
treated myself to a manicure @Fiori
(Painted my nails bloody red, probably inspired by my classmate's 'Gosh, your eye looks bloody')
then waited an extra 30 min. for the doc..
but really
the wait was worth it, the first nice doctor i met in shanghai, finally!
and my, HOT too...
Chinese origin growing up in Atlanta, mid-30's
great smile, just the purrfect mixture of professionalism and friendliness
married with 2 kids, shoot. /oh, and i forgot i'm the same, ha.
nice people out here in shanghai, really.
can't see why some people complain about living here.. this is one place i would have liked to have been, earlier in my life.
blah blah, back to being mommy at home.
btw: it's amusing how food suddenly looks unappetizing when being held by a hand with red manicure//
