I wanted ro write about the, "Ponte" knob today. It is what I would consider the most ideal knob for trout fishing to present date!
Looking at the design it may appear, "large", as it looks like the black metal streching from let to right is on top of a regular size knob, this is innacurate though! The specs are so precise on this knob. The way it sits on the handle knob shaft is about as precise as a shim can be. I can only guess there is 0.25mm at most circumference not touching the actual handle knob shaft!
The black, I thought, may have been a hard plastic, but, it is metal!! This I feel is a huge point! It adds to the stiffness and increases sensitivity to a very high degree!! There are thin line indendations running accross each lat, which is a nice touch. It adds to gripping power as well!
The amount of information transmitted by this handle knob is stellar! At the current price, it really feels underpriced, so you have to get one to try yourself! If you love trout fishing, small game fishing, this is going to make it more fun!
