「ブログって何を書けばいいんだろう」、って悩み続けて1年が経ってしまった。はじめないと始まらないから、とにかくテーマを決めて、日本語と英語で書いてみたい。バイリンガルにすることで、英語を勉強している方の参考になればと思う。
2015年はあと残すところ数時間。今年を振り返ってみようと思う。
今年の振り返り テニスクラブに入会したこと
新しく始めたことはテニスクラブに入会したこと。毎年のように福間テニスクラブは1月中旬から2月末まで無料のテニス教室を提供している。私はそのレッスンに参加し、テニス教室が終わった後すぐに入会を決めた。
福間テニスクラブは熟練のテニスプレーヤーが多い。私は何と最年少だということで、びっくりしたが、とても親切にしてもらい、色々な方から上達のコツを教えてもらっている。私は基本的には毎週木曜日の午前中にみずがめの郷でテニスをする。日曜日は色々イベントが多いので、参加できないことが多いが、行けるときは極力行くようにしている。
テニスの素晴らしいところは、ダブルスの試合でボレーやスマッシュが決まった時に味わえる快感だ。もちろん、毎回できるわけではないけど、成功率は少しずつ上がってきている気がする。ストロークもだいぶ安定してきたし、サーブも入るようになってきた。
もっとうまくなりたい、と強く思う。それには、とにかく練習するしかない。結局、英語の勉強と似ているかも。練習しただけ、上達するんだと思う。練習しなかったらどんどん話せなくなるし、単語も忘れていく。英語がまだあまり話せなかったとき、頑張って話して通じた時の感動は次もっと頑張ろうという気持ちにつながる。来年はもっと練習して、うまくなりたい。

It’s been a year since I wondered what to write for a blog. I’ve got to start writing something, so I’ll try to write a blog according to a theme in both Japanese and English. In that way, it might be helpful for an English learner.
There is only few hours left in 2015. I’d like to look back at this year.
“Joining the Fukuma Tennis Club”
The new thing which I started this year was to join a tennis club. Fukuma Tennis Club offers free tennis lessons in mid Jan to the end of Feb every year. I took the free lesson, and I decided to join the club as soon as free lessons were over this year.
There are many experienced players in the club. I found out that I was the youngest of all in the club, which was very surprising. It is very nice that many of them give me tips to get better. I basically play tennis on Thursday morning at Mizugame park since many events happen to be on Sunday. I make a point of going as much as possible.
The wonderful thing about tennis to me is it gives me stress relief every time my volley or smash results in a score. Of course I cannot do that every time, but the success rate is improving little by little. My strokes have gotten more stable and my service tends to get in much more than before.
“I want to get better” I strongly feel so. I know I just have to practice for it. Probably it is similar to learn English. You improve as much as you practice. It would be more difficult to speak if you don’t practice for a long time. It’s easy to forget words. When my English wasn’t so good, I was motivated to study harder after someone understood my poor but best English. I will practice harder to become a better player next year.
