『幻影師アイゼンハイム』 The Illusionist (2006)

本日は、久しぶりに、映画予告動画のトランスクリプトをアップします。今回は『幻影師アイゼンハイム』です。前回『Ｊ・エドガー』の時とは趣向を変えて、今回は日本語訳を付けました。かなり強引に意訳したので、稚拙な感は否めませんが、同時にアップする動画を理解するのに役に立てて頂ければ幸いです。

Today I will update a transcript of a movie trailer, which I haven't done for a long time.  This time I will show you The Illusionist.  Unlike last time when I presented the transcript of J. Edgar, I added Japanese translation to it.  As I translated freely without paying less attentions to the original text, I feel that my translation is awkward.  But if it is helpful for understanding the video, I will be more than delighted.

今回のブログを読む際ご留意してほしいことがあります。絶対にトランスクリプトを動画を見る前に読まないでください。なぜなら、スクリプトに書かれた内容を先に頭に入れた上で見ると、どうしても思い込みで動画の内容を解釈してしまうからです。

There is one thing I want you to bear in mind reading this blog this time.  Don't read the transcripts before watching the motion picture.  Because, with having the scripts already in mind and watch will hinder you to understand the contents of the video.

Josef Fischer: Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, from the furthest corners of the world where the dark arts still holds sway, I present you a man who has unlocked these mysteries.  To demonstrate how nature's laws may be bent.  Tonight, I give you . . . Eisenheim!

Inspector Uhl: I've seen you perform.  Perhaps you'll give me a tip.

Eisenheim: How can we help you, Inspector?

Inspector Uhl: The Crown Prince plans to attend your performance tonight.

Eisenheim: I need a volunteer from the audiences.  Someone not afraid of death.

Eisenheim: Do you know me?

Sophie: No.

Sophie: I often wish that I would see you again.

Inspector Uhl: She was seen in the company of another man.

Crown Prince Leopold: I know you've spent with him.

Sophie: That is nothing to do with you.

Crown Prince Leopold: Yes, it has everything to do with me!

Sophie: He plans to overthrow his father.

Archduke: You'll never be emperor.

Eisenheim: You shouldn't be involved.  Leave him.

Sophie: It's not that easy.

Crown Prince Leopold: I want you to put an end to it.

Sophie: Eduard!

Eisenheim: Let her go!

A male servant of House of von Teschen: Stay away from her.

Eisenheim: She knew his secret.

Jurka: What secret?

Inspector Uhl: I'll advise you to accuse.

Inspector Uhl: Not fool yourself that you can play in their game.  There's no trick they haven't seen.

Inspector Uhl: He has proven to be more than a magician.

Crown Prince Leopold: Do you claim supernatural power?

Eisenheim: Perhaps, I'll make you disppear.

Crown Prince Leopold: I want to have an example made of him.

Inspector Uhl: I hereby arrest Eisenheim the illusionist.

Inspector Uhl: Promise me you won't do it again.

Eisenheim: I'll promise you you'll enjoy this next show.

Inspector Uhl: What are you doing?  Stop!

Crown Prince Leopold: It's an illusion.

Inspecor Uhl: Perhaps there's truth in this illusion.


トランスクリプト

ヨーゼフ・フィッシャー：観客の皆さま、今宵わたくしは、闇の魔術が支配し続ける奇妙な世界よりやって来た男を紹介します。このものは、その世界で行われている魔術を極めております。自然界の法則を破る術を披露するべくやって来ました。皆さま、アイゼンハイムです！

ウール警部：君のショーを拝見したよ。マジックのタネとやらを教えてくれないかい？

幻影師アイゼンハイム：なにをお望みでしょうか？

ウール警部：皇太子殿下が今夜のショーをご覧になられる。

幻影師アイゼンハイム：皆さまの中で死を恐れないという方、ご協力ください。

幻影師アイゼンハイム：私をご存じですか？

公爵令嬢ソフィ：いいえ。

公爵令嬢ソフィ：またいつか会える日を心待ちにしていましたわ。

ウール警部：ご令嬢が別の男と一緒のところを目撃しました。

皇太子レオポルド：奴と一緒だったことは分かっているぞ。

公爵令嬢ソフィ：殿下と関わりのないことです。

皇太子レオポルド：関わりのあることさ！

公爵令嬢ソフィ：殿下は父である皇帝を亡き者にしようとしているわ。

大公：皇帝にはなれないぞ。

幻影師アイゼンハイム：関わっちゃダメだ。彼から離れなさい。

公爵令嬢ソフィ：そんな簡単なことではないの。

皇太子レオポルド：早くこの件を解決してくれ。

公爵令嬢ソフィ：エデュアルト！

幻影師アイゼンハイム：彼女を離してくれ。

テッシェン家の男性使用人：もう近づくな。

幻影師アイゼンハイム：ソフィは秘密を知っていた。

ヤルカ：秘密とは？

ウール警部：誰かを告発するのはやめたまえ。

ウール警部：彼らと勝負をして自分の人生を台無しにすることはやめなさい。彼らには勝てない。

ウール警部：この男が普通の魔術師ではないからです。

皇太子レオポルド：あなたは超能力でもお持ちか？

幻影師アイゼンハイム：では、殿下を消して御覧に入れましょう。

皇太子レオポルド：奴を見せしめにしろ。

ウール警部：幻影師アイゼンハイムを逮捕する。

ウール警部：もうあのようなショーはしないと約束してくれ。

幻影師アイゼンハイム：次のショーは楽しめますよ。

ウール警部：なにをするつもりだ、やめろ！

皇太子レオポルド：幻に過ぎない。

ウール警部：恐れながら、この幻の中には真実があります。
