Happy Independence Day!

Sept 18th and 19th Chile celebrate the Independence Day.

There are lots places called " ramadas" where you can go to celebrate , eat some traditional foods , and play old games.

I'm really bad at playing those games ^^U ( I can't play : "trompo" or "rayuela" . I just can fly a kite XD

The most of chileans eat a barbeque . ( well, really not one ) But also you can try empanadas, cazuela ( a kind of soap), anticuchos ( diferent of meat in a brochette) 

All houses in every city and town show our flag. It's nice to see it. ^^

On Sept 19th there is a big military parade in the capital of country, . A lot of people go to wach it in the central square but of course you can watch it on tv too.

About vacation and floating houses XD

I'm very happy with my vacation *o*. The list with "things to do" is going well XD , but i think need some good ideas more.

Today i'm going to talk about a tradition and folcklore in Chile. Like other countries there are a lot of traditions, some of them were been forgotten , other of them are still with us.

Chiloé is the largest island of Chiloé Archipelago off the coast of Chile.
In that island there is an especial and very old tradtion that show us like the solidairty and a team work can make the biggest things.

Chiloé have a rich folklore with many mythological animals and spirits like the Caleuche, the Trauco, the Pincoya, but i will talk about that more another day ^^.

If i say that a house can float , Do you believe me? It's true ^^. This thing can make because of "minga". There are different types of minga. You can understand minga like a process to help to other people in different areas. (in the country the most of time)

"Minga de tiradura de casas" is the most known of them . It's a process to change the place where a house was built to other that house'owner want to be. The houses are made of wood. it is moved used some animals (ox) and in the water of canal it moved by motorboats.

Because of all this big work , a lot of friends and neighborings help to house'owner ^^. This work is very delicate because any mistake you can damage the house!. To thank for the help the house's owner cook a big barbecue , "curanto" (a plate of a mix of seafood) and drinks . All people have a good time celebrating after work.

Minga is a proof of teamwork , friendship and solidarity can make a lot of impossible things. ^^

Long time no write (again) (^_^)v

Now i'm on vacation *o*

Yeah, finally finally *o* ..... there are a lot of things i want to do this time ^^

-Go to beach

-Go to camp

-Sleep a lot

- Buy clothes! XD

-Visit La Serena city

-Meet old classmates ^^ and so on ...

-Sleep XD
