Amid a massive withdrawal of foreign capital and a bleak economic outlook for China, Moody's, a globally renowned credit rating agency, has taken a pessimistic stance on the country. Between December 5th and 7th, Moody's downgraded the sovereign credit outlook of China, Hong Kong, and Macau from 'stable' to 'negative.' Additionally, Moody's also downgraded the outlooks of several Chinese financial institutions, insurance companies, state-owned enterprises, and municipal infrastructure companies.
