i don't want to fight 'the good fight' anymore.

It's times like these where I really wish I cared more about soccer!! (>▽<)
But I still want to write something about it.

I remember a few years ago when I was in high school still, when Italy won there was a huge party in the streets. Our party street, called "The Red Mile", was in pandemonium. I wasn't old enough to drink alcohol then but walking down that street, just by chance, lots of men offered it to me (I declined), people in good spirits everywhere, and nobody was segregated. Everyone was simply in this collective state of celebration. This is why the world needs sports.

We don't need sports to prove how much better than each other we are, but we need it to feel connected to each other... Within the team to form cooperation, to develop leadership skills, to create bonds. On a country-level, such as the World Cup, such organizations and friendly competitions create camaraderie, and (sometimes) even between opposing teams build friendliness. However, this is not always the case!

The fact is, this is a 'game'. Some people forget this. Some people take these things too seriously and it becomes violent, some people take things too seriously and there's no more enjoyment. It can become unhealthy for fans, I think... But this is not just sports, this is any fandom. Some people simply become too obsessive, and this is an unhealthy state for the mind to be in.

However for me, on the grand scale of things, sports (like the World Cup or the Olympic Games), helps to bring the world together and fortify a sense of global community, of humanity. Because of this, I am also thankful for these events. v(^-^)v

Presale tickets for the show I'm going to drive 21 hours into the USA to see are available for sale in 20 MINUTES.
Oh my god oh my god oh my god♡

It's at a venue called the Showbox at the Market in Seattle, Washington and I am just... falling all over myself here. XD I can't believe my motherfamily agreed to let me go.

JRock Pilgrimage #002.
XDDDD I should start compiling a book of these.

Also there's FINALLY an advantage to being 21 years old! Now that I can drink in the USA, I can get into the show early because I can go sit in the green room starting at 4 o' clock. Since I'll be taking a taxi to/from the venue anyway, MAYBE I SHOULD GET DRUNK TOO. ≧(´▽`)≦ Omg. xD I never allow myself this.
