I participated Mr.Tom Kaufmann's discussion for the first time the other day!
Beforehand, for getting ready to join this group, I read ' Cold Calling Techniques Ch１～Ch 3 ' which were written by Tom.
Although I have never experienced sales on my careers and didn't even know the meaning of 'cold-calling' , I found his articles were really interesting
If you (The Linguist members) have not read those contents yet, I recommend all of you to read them anyway
You can find them in a business category of the Linguist library.
Well, I guaranty that you can blink few times in his discussion group because it moves round so quick.
But I really enjoyed it!
Thanks to Power Gramo, I could review the discussion later.
Above all, I liked his humor.
ごめんなさい、時間短縮のためここからは日本語で書きます
そう、Tomさんの会話の中で特に面白かったのが子どもの話になった時。
お子さんが２人いらっしゃるTomさん。
だけど奥さんは「子ども何人いるの？」と聞かれると「３人」というんですって。
それでTomさんは「うちは２人のはず・・・あ～彼女は僕のことを言ってるのか～！」って気付くという（笑）
「男は特に家では子どものように振舞っちゃうんだ」なんて言ってて微笑ましかったんですが、
So is my husband
と言いたかった。
口を挟む余裕がありませんでした（笑）
また、セールスなどビジネスに関する話題で進むのかな～とちょっと身構えていたんですが
そんなことはなく、逆に「子どもや生徒のやる気をどう引き起こすのが良いか」などのアドバイスまでもらえました
ところで一緒だった akubinさんに後で「声が以前より落ち着いていたような？」と言われたんですが、それはきっと緊張のせいだったと思います
だけどこれからももう少し落ち着いて話すように心がけていきま～す
