NFL - The Indianapolis Colts start the season as No. 1 favorite

The Colts are back on training camp and it seems as if the team will be able to complete a good comeback. The Colts suffered a bit last season. Having such a great season, and still, not finishing with the Vince Lombardi Trophy is quite an emotional hit for the Indianapolis Colts and its fans. Still, they have Peyton Manning at the helm. He is one very fine quarterback, capable of giving the final touches to great plays. He is the key to the Colt offensive air raids. It is almost unlikely that any other team could average a league-low 81 running yards per game and still manage to make it to the Super Bowl. It is still uncertain how things are going to move about now that the Colts have hired Clyde Christensen to develop game plans and the offensive strategies. This is certainly going to be a completely new experienced for the talented quarterback. It cannot be denied that despite the experience and the overall good performance from Peyton Manning, he has only worked with one offensive coordinator: Tom Moore. And Moore no longer works for the franchise. But Moore is not the only coordinator gone. Pete Metzelaars will replace his offensive line coach, Howard Mudd. Together they are going to be looking at the aerial photographs, developing new approaches to the opponent defense. In paper, at least, Peyton should manage to stick around to the new offensive format. He still has the talents of Joseph Addai and other top-notch running backs. Still, it seems as if we will have to wait for the first preseason game to notice any changes or modifications to they game style. It is uncertain if their no huddle, personal grouping, and red-zone tactics will change with the presence of Christensen on the bench. Peyton Manning, a quarterback making the difference It has certainly paid off to bring Peyton into the Colts. Back in 1998, the son of NFL quarterback Archie Manning hit the No. 1 pick in the draft. Peyton had previously finished a very good season with the University of Tennessee. The Colts finished the first season of what would be call the Peyton Era, with a 3-13 record. But things were soon to make a big switch. They won the Super Bowl in 2006 and finished the AFC Champions in 2006 and 2009. At 34 years of age, Manning could still bring back some of his best game into the following season. They could comeback with revenge and win the title. At least that is what sports news rankings are speculating and what the big names in the online sportsbook industry are saying. For instance, online gambling industry leader BetIAS.com has made them the favorite to win the XLV Super Bowl. You can check the Colts and the other team odds at BetIAS.com updated odds to win 2010 Super Bowl. Some cool props for the 4-time MVP winner, Peyton Manning, as well as the other key players in the league should come up soon, as the start of the football season closes in.
