「Evening with an Earthwalker」
世界中を歩いて木を植え続けているイギリス人、
ポール・コー ルマンさんが奥様の菊池木乃実さんと一緒に、
今年、中国を歩 いてきました
彼らが見て、体験した中国の現状をたくさんのスライドを交えて話してくださいます
またなぜポールが歩き始めたのか、メキシコで木を植えた時の奇跡など
楽しいお話もいっぱいです

環境活動家、国連ピースメッセンジャーイニシャティブ「カルチャーオブピース」大使
1954年イギリス生まれ
1988年にアイスランドで壮大なビジョンを見たことがきっかけで人生が一転
地球のために人生を捧げることを決意する。 地球環境保護の重要性を
人々に伝える為、19９0年、 カナダから、２年後に開催予定の第一回地球環境サミット会場、
ブラジルのリオデジャネイロまで歩くことを決意
途中、多くの支援を受け、人々と木を植えながら、1992年、サミット会場に到着し、
UNEPよりアースウォーカー（地球を歩く人）と命名された
以来、18年間で39カ国、47000キロを歩き、1150万本の木が植えられた

「Evening with an Earthwalker」
Paul Coleman has circled the earth, visited 39 nations and inspired
the planting of millions of trees. Paul has walked though the jungles
of the Amazon to the highlands of Zimbabwe and even into war torn
regions in his quest to heal the earth. Paul will share stories
about his most recent adventure "Greening the Olympics, Greening the
Earth Walk", where he walked from Hong Kong to Beijing and witnessed
the catastrophic pollution now plaguing China. Join Paul and learn
about his vision to green the earth by planting one tree at time.

About Paul Coleman:
Since 1990, he has walked 47,000 kilometers through 39 nations
planting trees and spreading a message about the beauty of the earth
and why we need to preserve the natural environment that we all need
to exist. He has had a long involvement with Earthday and along the
way have inspired the planting of millions of trees. Recently He
walked with his wife Konomi through China, from Hong Kong to Beijing
on the 'Greening the Olympics, Greening The Earth Walk'. He is an
author as is Konomi. He was chosen as one of one hundred 'earth
Lovers' to represent the planet at EXPO 2005, and narrated the Giant
Screen Sony Movie, 'Our Planet'.
Since 1994, He has been an Ambassador to the 'Cultures of Peace' UN
Peace Messenger Initiative, an advisor to Pathways to Peace and the
Charity Ambassador of The Living Rainforest, a UK based institution.
This year after a huge tree planting event in Inner Mongolia, China
He joined with several Japanese organizations to create The Wonderful
World Tree Planting Festival. He was invited to become the President
and our mission is to plant trees in areas that are already severely
impacted by deforestation and global warming. In 2009 we will bring
100 volunteers to plant trees with the local people in China and
South Africa. They expect to plant at least 100,000 trees next year.
