My first day of classes (September 25, 2009) wasn't that bad. I guess...
I woke up at 6:30 and left the house at 7 to go to the bus stop at Valley/Sentous. When I was close to the stop, my sister and I saw the bus leave at 7:12. >.>; So we waited a bit more and the next bus came around 7:20. I was glad that it didn't come later because that meant I'd have to run to class and get the farthest seat away from the teacher. The bus ride to Union Station was quite entertaining since the bus driver was friendly and talked to the passengers once in a while. He was very hyper and actually said Ni Hao and Xie Xie to Chinese passengers.
When we arrived at Union Station, my sister told me to rush. It was weird since she stopped to look at the fishes before we entered the station (yes, we should rush!). >.>; After looking at the fishes, we walked really fast to the ticket booth to get tap passes. I've never used tap passes before and I only understood why they were called that way when we reached the gates... you have to tap where it says "TAP." すごい!Yay for my first time using a tap pass and riding the subway~ @.@;
During the ride I was watching people. I saw a black lady playing with her baby. I saw 2 Japanese girls (in their 20s I presume) reading a guidebook on America. I saw a black man reading the Bible. I saw a white man discussing something about politicians' wives with two other men. I saw an Asian guy look around and walk past me. I saw people go in and out of the train... This paragraph is kind of random but I like watching people. Somehow it's relaxing for me and it kept me so busy that I forgot what my sis said about getting of at Sunset/Vermont. T_T; Because of that we went down at the Hollywood/Highland station and walked a bit to the bus stop.
When the bus came I started getting anxious because of the time and the traffic. There was nothing to keep me occupied since my sister was concentrating on her DS game. =.=; We finally got to UCLA and my sister went somewhere while I went to Perloff Hall to find my Chinese History class. When I got to my class the class was filled so I sat beside some weird guy who made weird fart-like sounds with his mouth. He seemed really geeky...and he was very distracting because he kept moving and yeah...the sounds he made. On my right side, there was a girl whose stomach was growling every few minutes. Because of the people who sat beside me, there were a few times I got distracted from my teacher. For the most part, I seem to find Chinese History quite interesting. The professor let us out early, so I had time to stroll to my next class.
When I was going to Math I went down and used the stairs. Yay for being stupid! I was trying to push a door you had to pull...or was it the other way around? x_x I roamed around a bit and realized the signs on the wall were pointing the other direction...the direction I came from. It was so weird because I reached the end... and realized I had to go out the door of the building. O_o Apparently, my class was separate from the rest since it was a lecture hall. Class started and I sat towards the back again. >.>; How are the people so fast at getting seats in front? @.@ The professor was pretty amusing...talking about how Calculus started and how the answer to "What does velocity mean?" and "What is the tangent of a given point on a curve?" leads to limits. To me, that information was random but fun to know (yay nerd! :D).
My last class for the day was my biggest class--Chem20A...300 people. I couldn't find any of my orientation friends so I randomly sat beside this one girl. She was pretty nice and she even introduced herself. Her name was Emily, and she was the only person out of all my classes to introduce herself and talk to me. I felt better because finally there was someone who I could talk to.
After that, I went to Franz Hall just to find out that my sister went to Powell Library (curse you, stairs going to the Library). I finally met up with my sister, and we went to Ackerman to get Panda Express. When we finished eating, Sho called me and said he was going to meet up with me.
Rest of the day went by, spent most of the remaining hours with Sho. He looked gay with his wifebeater + scarf. He made me laugh a lot, especially when he was half laughing and crying. I'm thankful that he was there and he accompanied me to the FAO,and around the campus. He also introduced me to his room mate Eric, who I thought was kind of shy and confusing. We went to Hedrick Hall where Sho's dorm room was. When he was done, all of us went to the gym. Sho went back to the room to get shoes.
When we got to the gym Eric went to play basketball and my sister used the exercise machines. I texted Sho and he came and sat down beside me until I had to go home.
So, that was my first day~

On Saturday I got a new けいたい~
It's a Samsung Gravity 2 Berry. It's red and pink, has a QWERTY keyboard, 2 mega pixel camera, slot for a mini sd card... and other stuff. At first I thought it was lame because it wasn't a Nokia phone. @.@ I wanted aNokia 5310 Xpressmusic, but they only had the Gravity 2 and some crappy Sony Ericsson flip phone. So of course I chose the Gravity 2. I was really disappointed at first because I thought you couldn't put a mini sd card but after I read the manual I found all sorts of capabilities my phone has. @.@;
I also went out with Kitty and Kim to the mall, the shops across of Hong Kong Plazaand Diamond Plaza. I saw a girl with a cute puppy. She bought Popteen. O_o I'm cheap so I get my Japanese Magazines from jmagazinescans@livejournal. :D When we went to Diamond Plaza we saw weird stuff. @_@ I'll upload pics later. XD
