６つの個室があります。大きさはそんなに大きくはないけれど、だからプライベート空間でお話しているような雰囲気で勉強できます。時々リビングルームも授業部屋として使います。 There are 6 cubicles in our school. Though they are not so big, we can still learn English. The feeling is like talking with a teacher in a comfortable room. We sometimes use the living room too as a classroom.
授業の後は勉強に集中したい人や発音の練習したい人が自由に使っています。勉強するためのスペースなので、たとえ大声で発音の練習をしていても誰も気にしません。 After class, students use cubicles as study rooms when they practice accent and focus on their study. A cubicle is a place to study and people don’t mind if your voice is loud as long as you’re studying English.
After class… I’m going to jog at airport ruins with student and teachers. We’re challenged to keep jogging from last week. There is a wide road, no cars and entrance is FREE that’s why we like there for jogging. One way has two kilometers. we’re trying longer than yesterday. My first day, I jogged only 2 kilometers and I jogged 5 kilometers yesterday. Jogging gave me a good time and resets my mind and I organize my thoughts. Time is between 20 and 30 minute I feel good after jogging!!!!
他に時間がある時に私はよく映画を観ます。映画の中からすぐ使えそうな文章を学んだり、一緒に観ている先生から教えてもらったりします。よくわからないシチュエーションや単語が出て来ると一緒に観ている先生に聞くこともあります。たまによく使えそうな文を生徒さんに教え(インプット)、その文が使えるシチュエーションの時に”ほらあの文今使えるよー!!“って使う練習します(アウトプット)。 The other time, I often watch movies. I learn useful sentences from movies and teachers who watch the movie together. I ask teachers when I have questions or I can’t understand it. I can get information easily. I like “ the Holiday”, so I have watched it many times. Sometime I teach a student useful sentences. (ex: It sounds good!!) We use it with the same situation so we absorb knowledge completely.
昨日から新しい生徒さんの授業が始まりました。彼女は２週間滞在する予定で、コミュニケーションで使える英語を特に身につけたいとおっしゃっていました。 どれくらい滞在するかとか授業スタイルは正直、一人一人違います。同じ教科書を使っていても目的（世界一周旅行・ワーホリ・仕事で英語が必要・ただ英語が話せるようになりたい）にあわせて授業の進め方などが違います。 The new student starts her classes from yesterday . She’s going to stay here for two weeks. She’s challenged to learn common and eazy sentences for daily communication. Actually, it depends on a person how long will she stay here and what kind of class style she likes. Students’ purpose are different, for example… for going to all over the worlds, for working holiday, for work, just he/she want to speak English that’s why their class style are also different even they use the same text book. たぶん海外に行きたいと思っても将来のことが気になる人が多いと思います。 仕事辞めて海外に行って帰国した時にきちんと仕事また見つけられるのかな… など。 でももしあなたの人生に今何か不満を感じていて何か変えたいと思っているなら、私は挑戦してみることをオススメします!!!! Maybe you worry about your future, ‘after learning what can I do?? Can I find new job or something?? Like this… BUT I recommend you JUST TRY if you want to change something in your life.
GETSにはたくさんの方が英語を学びに来てくださっています。みなさんフィリピンの生活で先生達や他の生徒の方々、地元の人との触れ合いから色んなことを経験してGETSから旅立たれます。同じ日本人でも年齢、出身地も異なる人が集まるので刺激しあって、日本ならなかなか挑戦しないこともどんどん挑戦できる環境だと思います。 A lot of students came here to learn English. They got English skill , new experience only here and new knowledge because students who are in different ages, from different places are here that’s why they got many things from teachers, fellow students, local people and places in the Philippines.

I started my diet life from yesterday because Christmas season is fast approaching. Ralph taught me about foods on Christmas that are very delicious. I can’t wait for it!!!! Because I love eating♥ Maybe I will become fatty. Today, I want to tell you about “ I can’t wait…” 今日は 'I can't wait…'の使い方について話したいと思います。
Maybe almost Japanese knew “I’m looking forward to….” “I can’t wait…”and “I’m looking forward to…” have the same meaning. “I can’t wait…” is the way of speaking, that is more casual than ‘I’m looking forward to…” たぶん '楽しみ!!!' という表現で 'I'm looking forward to…' はもう既に知っている方がほとんどだと思います。 'I can't wait…' は同じ意味なんですが、'I'm looking forward to…' よりもくだけた(カジュアルな)言い方です。
Example)) 例)) I can’t wait for my birthday. (誕生日が楽しみ) I can’t wait for my vacation. (休みが楽しみ) I can’t wait to see my sister. (お姉ちゃんに会うのが楽しみ)

One of my classes is like this. I can understand it easily so I got a new sentences and I use these new sentences when I talk with my friends and teachers even I don’t know grammar. I thought grammar is important to get English skill. Actually my teachers told me “grammar is not so important. Did your mother teach you Japanese grammar when you were a child??” Of course “NO!!” I stopped to study grammar and I started to learn new words and use it in a sentence and I’m trying to use new sentences. So that it will be easy to remember. I recommend to you to learn various sentences and to use these more than to study grammar. 私の受けてる授業のうち、１つはこんな感じです。わかりやすいので、文法を知らなくても、教えてもらった文章をそのまま会話の中で使えます。私は文法を勉強するのが大事だと思っていたんですが、先生に「小さい頃お母さんに日本語の文法教えてもらって日本語話せるようになったの??違うでしょ??それと同じ。だから文法はそんなに重要じゃないのよ。」って言われて、「確かに!!}と思い、文法勉強するのをやめました。それから文法ではなく、新しい文章を覚え、単語も単語だけでなく、文章の中から意味を覚えていくようにしました。今はこの時はどんな文章で伝えればいいのか…と文章の作り方ではなく、文章そのまま覚えることを中心に勉強しています。 私は文法を勉強するよりも色んな文章を覚えて使う方法をオススメします。
GETSではEOP(英語のみで交流すること)を実践しています。今日は私が生徒として過ごしていた時に感じたことと、今いる生徒さんや先生、数人の考えを伝えたいと思います。 GETS has EOP. Today, I want to tell you about my feelings when I was a student of GETS and I want to tell you the feelings of some of the students and teachers who here at GETS are now.
私は最初来たとき、少し違和感を感じました。なぜなら日本人同士でも英語で話すからです。私は今までそのような経験がなかったのでこっちに来て、少し戸惑いました。だけど過ごして行くうちに慣れました。単語だけや間違った文章でも先生や他の生徒たちが気持ちを汲み取って文章にしてくれたので、私はそこから会話力を得ました。日本人同士で英語を話していると、間違った文章でも理解しあえてしまいますが、そこに先生が一緒にいることで間違った文章を直してくれたり、間違った文章だということを先生の表情が伝えてくれたりします。たまに日本人同士、日本語でコミュニケーションとるのも大切だと思いますが、英語で自分の気持ちを伝えられた時は自分の英語が上達していることを感じることができます。 During my first week in here, I felt a little strange because we spoke English even to fellow Japanese. I didn’t experience this before but I had gotten used to life here. I got my English speaking ability from here and my teachers and the other students could understand my feelings even though my sentences were wrong and I only uttered words. When I spoke wrong English with Japanese, we could understand each other but when we were with teachers, they corrected our sentences and they made us aware when we were making mistakes through their facial expressions. It was sometimes a good way of communication to speak Japanese with fellow Japanese. But the best situation that I can feel the improvement of my English skill is when I conveyed my feelings in English.

＊ 生徒さん(20代前半 男性) GETSではEOPに取り組んでると知っていたので私は抵抗なかったです。だけれども難しいです、その時は辞書を使ったり、先生たちにどう言うべきか聞いています。EOPに賛同しているので、ただ挑戦しています。 ＊ a student(a male in his early twenties) It’s okay for me because I already knew about the GETS EOP. It’s also difficult for me, that’s why I sometimes use my dictionary and I ask my teachers how I can say something. I agree to EOP. I’m taking it as a challenge.
＊ 生徒さん(20代後半 男性) 私にとって、とても難しいです。自分のキャラをうまく表現できません。大阪にいるときみたいに ‘何でやねん!!’ と英語でツッコミたいけど、今はまだできていません。 ＊ a student(a male in his late twenties) It’s very hard for me. I can’t express my character well. I want to speak English like Osaka style but I can’t. For example, “What the hell!!” haha))”
＊ 生徒さん(20代前半 女性) 私は英語を学びたいのでEOPで過ごすことに幸せを感じています。私の文法力をもっと伸ばしたいです。 ＊ a student(a female in her early twenties) I’m happy because I want to learn English. I want to improve my grammar well through EOP.
＊ 先生 いい方針だと思います。みんな英語力が上達できるし、私たち先生がみんな（特に英語を流暢に話したい人が）良い英語が話せるようになるよう、助けることもできます。 ＊ a teacher It’s a good policy. Anybody can improve his or her English skills. We can also help everyone to become a good speaker of English especially the students who want to speak fluently.
＊ 先生 EOPで過ごすと生徒とのコミュニケーションをとるのが簡単です。EOPは生徒が日本語で考えることを英語で考えるように簡単に変えることができます。英語初心者には時々日本語で教えてあげることも必要だと思います。１番大切なことはとりあえず挑戦してみること!!! ＊ a teacher It’s easy to communicate with students. EOP helps students to think from Japanese to English easily. I think that it is necessary to sometimes change English into Japanese for a beginner. The most important thing is to just try!!!
