He married with Mai Satoda (singer) in 2014. They are famous at they are
lovebird. She is good at cooking. She cooks for Tanaka considering at
health and physical condition. They are very good couple.
The beginning of his career
elementary school and junior high school
Masahiro Tanaka was born in Itami, a city in Hyogo, Japan. He attended
the Itami Municipal Koyanosato elementary school and he began playing
baseball at the Koyanosato Tigers (a Little League team) in the first
grade. When he began baseball, he was a catcher, and he paired with
Hayato Sakamoto(Japanese baseball player at Yomiuri Giants) as a
pitcher and catcher.
When he belonged to the Takarazuka Boys while attending the Itami
Municipal Matsuzaki Junior High School, because of his strong throwing
arm, he saved as a pitcher and a catcher.

After graduation from the Itami Municipal Matsuzaki Junior
High School, he entered Komazawa University Tomakomai High School
in Hokkaido.
He led his team all the way to a championship in the 87th National
High School Baseball tournament held at Koshien in the summer of his
second year.
His very last pitch of the tournament was 150 km/h.
He was chosen to the Japanese team that would play in the IBAF AAA
World Junior Championships following the tournament.

2007・As a high school graduate new face, he won the rookie of the year
title for the first time in eight years since Daisuke Matsuzaka.
2009・He contributed to two successive victories as a representative
from Japan of the second WBC.
Four games continuation pitched a whole games, and he won.
2011・He achieved a quality start in 16 games continuation from the
start.
2013・He chosen as a representative from Japan of the third WBC.
He set a new NPB record with his 21st consecutive win in the 2013 season
in a 6-2 complete game victory over the Orix Buffaloes at home in Sendai
at Kleenex Stadium.
This victory was Tanaka’s 25th consecutive win, including his final four
starts in 2012.
