I am just so happy and grateful to have many “likes”, followers, and messages.
先日、スーパーでメロンを買いました🍈
I bought a melon at a supermarket the other day.
安くなっていて、糖度が14.7度と、絶対に甘いメロンが売っていたので買ってしまいました
It was on sale, and it was 14.7 brix. I knew it was definitely going to be very sweet, so I couldn’t resist!
数日熟してから、夜ご飯のデザートに
I let it ripe for a few days, and ate it for dessert at dinner.
すごく甘くてジューシー
It was so sweet and juicy!!
美味しさに浸っている私の横で、娘がひと口
Next to me, still soaking in the deliciousness, my daughter takes a bite.
美味しいねーといつものように言われるのかと思いきや
といつものように言われるのかと思いきやI thought she was going to tell me, “Yummy!” like she always does, but
「やすい！」
“Yasui! (cheap!)”
…
聞き間違えかと思って、ふた口目食べ終えるのを待っていると
I thought I heard it wrong, so I waited until she finished eating her second bite
「やすい！」
“Yasui! (cheap!)”
ガーーーン
My gosh!
思わず、「メロンは安くないよ！」と言ってしまいました笑
I automatically told her, “melon isn’t cheap!” without thinking. lol
次に食べたメロンは皮に近い、少しかたい部分で
The next bite she took was close to the rind, and a little hard
「たかい！」
“Takai! (expensive!)”
うん、これは「かたい」の言い間違えね
Well, this is a mistake for “Katai (hard)”
でも、「やすい」はなんのいい間違えなんだろう…
But, what did she mistake “Yasui (cheap)” for...?
みなさん、なんだと思います
What do you all think it was?
何にせよ、お外で食べてる時に大きい声で言い間違えなくてよかったぁ
と思った出来事でした笑
と思った出来事でした笑Either way, I’m just so glad she didn’t say that loudly when we were eating outside! lol
