I found a LiveJournal post today on the band serial TV drama.
And I realized this is the band whose drummer, Shotaro, I've been exchanging a few e-mails with in late 2006! I've been looking for their music ever since and it has to be today that I finally found it. ヽ(゚◇゚ )ノ
I immediately went to dig up Shotaro's e-mail address, doubting myself whether it actually is a good idea to pop back up into his life, especailly now that the band has become more or less famous in the Japanese indie scene. I really didn't want to sound like a stalker bitch.
Nevertheless I contancted him, rather I tried, but his address has changed in the meantime - I expected it anyway. 。゚(T^T)゚。 It's probably because he's famous and doesn't want his address floating around. Totally understandbale.
By the way, way back when in 2006 he found me on a penpal site where I was looking for Japanese friends. That's how I found my only remaining penpal, Tadanori as well. m(..)m
So what should I do? I totally freaked out - in a good way, but at the same time totally blaming myself for not being able to find them as a band earlier and shit. Especially since one of my haters had music from them but he kept it intentionally away from me. Of course, what to expect, he dispises me, why would he help.
But back on subject゚・*:.。..。.:*・゚゚・*:.。..。.:*・゚ Here's the serial TV drama website. They also have a Livedoor blog - why not here so I would be able to follow? I'm not making a Livedoor account just for this, besides I can read their blog without registering just fine.
So what else could I do, I wrote them a fanmail where I explain myself. Who am I, where I'm from, how I know the band (yes I mentioned those e-mails with Shotaro), and I hope they don't think I'm a stalker trying to gain profit out of this when I'm not.I'm just really happy to have finally found them and Shotaro again.I remember how he wrote me he worked as a waiter when the band was just at the beginning to be able to support himself.Well, I don't think, with two albums, and the newest, May 23. 2009 single behind their back, and being yet on tour, that he needs to still have a part-time job as a waiter. I didn't ask for his new e-mail address either, I don't want to be in his way if anything. But I felt like I must contact them. We'll see what happens. (。-人-。)
The annual SakuraCon took place last weekend, on the 16th and 17th. (☆。☆)
My friend, Risa arrived Friday afrernoon and we went to see Angels & Demons that evening. The showing started at 9 pm so we were running late. We arrived back to my apartment at around 1 am and had to get up at 6 because we were both cosplay help staff members. The movie was enjoyabe but it was not really that true to the book. A few important characters were left out, and naturally the storyline had some unexpected twists in store. The music was superb tho. What I missed the most, given the fact that it's been about 4 years since I read the book, is the anti-religious side. I understand that the director took the Vatican's concerns into account but that's one thing, and another would've been to stay as true to the book as possible. The Da Vinci Code was more true then Angels & Demons, which is a disappointment, since I liked the latter better to begin with. But I still recommend this movie to people, especially to those who haven't already read the book. Those who have, please, bare in mind that it's not following the plot exactly. Otherwise it's definitely not a bad movie, so watch it if you have the chance.
But where was I? Oh yeah - so Saturday we got up at 6 am, got dressed and stuff and off we went to SakuraCon.I worked 4 hours listing the cosplayers at the dressing rooms. It was so tiresome, I wasn't allowed to leave my spot cept for going to the bathroom. Luckily, we were given Coke and there was a water machine, and I managed to sneak out a box of strawberry flavored Pocky from the cosplay jury's room.
It was a tiresome and tough job. Before I rushed to my spot tho, Risa and I spent a hell lot of money on Dir en grey stuff at the Sakura Zaka stand. I also collected my badges from Sound of Japan and off I went to work.I had to ask my friend, Adri, to buy my the 4th book of NANA in Hungarian because I couldn't leave my spot (On Friday, before I went to get Risa at the station I bought the 3rd and last book of Dark Metro - the main hero and cute zombie guy dies when protecting the main female character T__T)
When my shift was done I went finally outside where I met up with my friends.First I called Sayaka and she arrived with a group of Dir en grey cosplayers. Then, all of a sudden a bunch of my friends showed up in cosplay! There was Shizu dressed as Jui of Vidoll, Ayumi dressed as Aki fo SID, Eve dressed as Uruha, Pink Spider as Kazuki of ex-Raphael, and Toffy as Yuki, also of ex-Raphael.
From left to right: Tachi as Die, Sayaka as Toshiya, Dru as Kyo, Shin as Shinya, and Shizu as Kyo.

Saturday night there was a JRock party which lasted until midnight. It was once again past 1 am that we got home.
Sunday: We got up at 7 because we only had to be at the Con by 9. I immediately got the job of taking away the arms not made of paper from the cosplayers at the cosplay entrance. I worked there from 9 till 11. Then, I had a little free time in which I met up with Adri and Szilvi and later Risa until the afternoon photoshoot started. After the shoot we had nothing to do, so we stuck around until 7 pm in the park, just sitting and talking. Then we went home.
This Con was sure tiresome but I really enjoyed it. The Summer Con will take place on August 21-22-23, it's going to be the first 3-day Con, also in Budapest. I'm not going to be staff, I have my yearly Con ticket already so I don't need to work in order to get in for free. Before you'd suspect that I'm doing this for the free entrance, the free manga we get to choose, the free food or the free drinks. No, no, I'm doing it for fun. But at the Summer Con I want to actually watch the programs, such as cosplay, and would like to hang out all 3 days with my friends.
The Fall Anime Con will be two days long, probably in October, but it's going to take place in another city, namely Székesfehérvár, which is too far for me...but it still can happen that I pop up there all of a sudden xD You'll never know with me. So next time I'm going to be staff member is probably the next SakuraCon in 2010.
I haven't updated this blog in the past two weeks because I was busy studying. I had a final test this Monday, and another one this morning plus an exam also today.
とても疲れた
This weekend Risa is coming over! There's the annual SakuraCon taking place!
Risa comes Friday afternoon and we're going watch Angels&Demons starting at 9 p.m. So late because there's a VIP event and showing taking place at the cinema earlier. I bought our tickets today. Imagine: it was the premier today and the cinema was epty when I arrived.
But back to the SakuraCon: I'm a staff member this time so I'm going to be as busy as it goes, but when I have free time I plan to take loads of pictures. I bought a new, 2 GB memory card for my camera. A group of my friends is going to cosplay Dir en grey from the GARDEN PV, whereas another group is cosplayign Vidoll, and there's a friend of mine cosplaying Kazuki (R.I.P.) from former VK band Raphael.
