What's up fellas!!

Today's blog post will be about Singapore's Religion.

Pretty cool, Singapore has a variety of religious believes ranging from Buddhism to Islam. It is quite interesting to live in a society where there are lots of different people. On one hand you have people wearing turbans and on the other you see people with no hair. So it is really an unique experience. The mix of culture is very strong, though all of the religions retain their individuality, they live harmoniously with other religions. This particular one, worshiped by Muslims, is the center of the camera. What you see is a doorway to a Mosque, the equivalent of a shrine (神社) in Japanese culture. The place is covered in carpets and that no shoes are allowed to be in. Every year, there will be a month of redemption for them, when the Muslims will starve themselves and eat only when the Sun is down. This is in preparation for their new year named "Hari Raya Puasa" when they will finally overcome all odds to emerge victory after a month of suffering. They will usually feast themselves throughout the night and all are welcome to join in. Pretty cool if you love to eat.
