Pele's relatives at his hospital bed on Christmas
Pele has been hospitalized since the end of November in Sao Paulo, and spent Christmas Eve surrounded by his loved ones. The 82-year-old former footballer suffers from colon cancer discovered in September 2021, and his doctors reported, on Wednesday, that he had developed cancer in addition to kidney and heart failure.
On Saturday Christmas Eve, Pele's relatives met the Brazilian legend, who remains in hospital.
After midnight in Brazil, Kelly Nascimento, one of Pele's daughters, posted a photo on Instagram showing the former footballer's current wife, Marcia Aoki, and other family members in the Albert Einstein Hospital, where the former footballer is hospitalized, but without him.
