I would like to talk about "Sugawara no Michizane," which is enshrined in this shrine
He was a politician and excellent figure
in the Heian period(Heianjidai)👘,
and was loved by
👑ｔhe emperor👑
at that time
However, because he is too good,
he is relegated to the region by a jealousy plot from another politician
He will die a few years after his relegation
After he died,
many disasters have started to occur
in Kyoto
(long rain
, flood,
lightning strike
, drought, plague etc)
And the people who fell him died
one after another,
and
the relatives of the emperor also died
one after another
The people who defeated him
suffered a series of unhappiness,
and
people began to think of
this as the revenge of
the dead Sugawara no Michizane
Therefore, this shrine was built to worship "Michizane" as a god and calm his grudges
Currently,
he is loved by the Japanese
not as a scary existence of grudges,
but as 
a wonderful person
who excels in scholarship during his lifetime and supported ｔhe emperor👑 at that time
In other words,
Japanese worship "Sugawara no Michizane," as a god of learning
Therefore,
during the examination season
many students visit
not only this shrine
but also the shrine related to
"Sugawara no Michizane,"
This shrine has
a very nice decoration of the building
"Sankomon"
This gate is called "Sankomon" and has the theme of three lights

and stars
The sun and moon🌝 are engraved on the gate as sculptures,
but the stars refers to the stars
Big Dipper
that illuminates the gate from the sky at night.
