飼い主さんずぶぬれになってた。風邪ひきませんように( ^^) _旦~~

It looks pretty useful, but it also feels so Japanese in a way (lol).
The owner was completely soaked though—I hope they don't catch a cold! ☕😊

この主さんは、カエルのアラレちゃんをオタマジャクシから育てていて、アラレちゃんは飼い主さんの手が大好き♪カエルってこんなになついて可愛いって知らなかった( *´艸｀)

The owner raised a frog named Arale-chan from a tadpole, and Arale-chan absolutely loves the owner's hand♪
I never knew frogs could be so affectionate and adorable! ( *´艸｀)

森の中で入っていくのが難しい所は、カッコいい逞しいジャーマンシェパードに代わってもらう所も可愛すぎる。。。

何より、行方不明の方が無事見つかってよかった♬

ワイルド柴 Wild Shiba

柴犬って飼ったことないけど、一説によると狼に一番近い犬種らしい。

確かに、自立心があるところとか、自分の意見が在るところとか人に懐柔されていない所とかかっこいいなと思う☆

この柴ちゃんすみすみっていう名前ですごく柴っぽくて、飼い主さんたちとの掛け合いが超面白い。

I’ve never owned a Shiba Inu, but I’ve heard that they’re one of the dog breeds closest to wolves.It makes sense — their independence, strong will, and the way they’re not easily swayed by humans is really cool☆

This Shiba is named Sumisumi, which sounds super Shiba-like, and the interactions with their owners are absolutely hilarious.

そして吉祥寺と言えば、東京で仕事していたころ吉祥寺に住んで居たので公園とかこの近所懐かし～♬ずっとアメリカの山奥で暮らして、今は四国でのんびり暮らしているので、もう二度と東京の人混みには住めない気がする。。

この人生でもう一度東京の地を踏むことはあるのかしら（笑）

Speaking of Kichijoji, I used to live there back when I was working in Tokyo, so the park and this whole area bring back so many memories♬
After living deep in the mountains of the U.S. and now enjoying a laid-back life in Shikoku, I don’t think I could ever live in Tokyo’s crowds again...

I wonder if I’ll ever set foot in Tokyo again in this lifetime (lol).

T８８Okuboji 88番札所大窪寺

遍路の順番で言うと最後のお寺大窪寺。

なんか話しかけて来てる感じ。こんにちは(*'▽')ノ

The last temple in the pilgrim route is Okuboji. 

It feels like he's talking to me. Hello (*'▽')ノ

この後ろの山に登れるらしい。

You can apparently hike up the mountain behind here.

巨大空海像。遍路で足首疲れるよね。

A giant statue of Kukai. The ankles get tired during the pilgrimage, right?

首の所が折れてる。すごい古そう。これが建てられた当時の人には電話ボックスなんて想像もつかなかったんだろうね。でも今はインターネットで「テレビ電話」が普通の時代だもんね。10年後には自動車とかも全部AIが動かしそうな気もする。「人間が運転するなんて危なすぎる」ってね（笑）

The neck part is broken. It looks really old. People who built this back then probably couldn't have imagined something like a phone booth. But now, we live in an era where 'video calls' are normal thanks to the internet. In 10 years, I wouldn't be surprised if all cars are driven by AI. 'Humans driving is just too dangerous,' right? (lol)

T29&Tosajinja 29番札所 国分寺＆土佐神社

ここは29番札所の国分寺。This is the 29th temple, Kokubunji.

空海さんの像かな？あの赤い涎掛けは何のためだろう。と思って調べたら。

Is that a statue of Kukai? I wonder what the red bib is for.

病気や災難を防ぐため

昔から赤色には魔除けの力があると信じられており、涎掛けを奉納することで病気や災厄から守ってもらうという意味があります。

29番札所の隣に土佐神社があったよ。

Next to the 29th temple, there was Tosajinja Shrine.

高知県高知市にあり、創建は古代に遡るとされています。平安時代には『延喜式』の式内大社に列せられ、戦国時代には長宗我部元親が社殿を再興しました。
明治時代に「土佐神社」と改称され、社殿は国の重要文化財に指定され、歴史ある壮大な佇まいが特徴です。

Located in Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture, Tosajinja Shrine's origin dates back to ancient times. During the Heian period, it was listed as an official shrine in the "Engishiki." In the Sengoku period, the warlord Chosokabe Motochika rebuilt the shrine buildings.

In the Meiji period, the shrine was renamed "Tosajinja," and its buildings were designated as Important Cultural Properties, known for their grand and historic presence.

歴史と経年を感じる。でも、ただ古い。っていう感じじゃなくて、経年とともに奥深く積み重なってきた重みを感じる。

You can feel the history and the passage of time. But it’s not just about being old—there’s a sense of weight that has built up over the years, deepening with each passing moment.

これはここにあった、大木の根元をくりぬいて、祭ってありここを潜り抜けるといいことがあるらしい。

お釈迦様の足の模様との事。これを拝んで、その手で体に不調のある部分を触ると治せるらしい✿

T34 Tanemaji 34番札所 種間寺

この右側の像は何だったんだろう。

もうすでに何が彫ってあったか判別できないほど古い。それでも大切にしているって日本的だな。

I wonder what this statue on the right was. It's so old that I can't even make out what was carved on it anymore. Still, the fact that it's being preserved so carefully feels very Japanese.

後ろに見える家の壁にも補強が施してあるから家自体もすごく古いんだろうね。

The wall of the house in the back has reinforcement, so the house itself must be very old too.

この時は別の場所に行った帰りだったので疲れてて写真これだけだった(￣▽￣;)
