Freyr はベルギーの一番大きいクライミングエリアです。岩は石灰岩、壁の高さは最大１１０ｍにもなるためMulti pitchクライミングが可能です。岩場はマース川のすぐそばにあり、景色は美しいです。岩が南向きなので夏暑くなりますが、マース川で涼むことができます。一年中クライミングできます。岩が石灰岩やしエリアで昔からクライミングに利用されててきたから、簡単なルートは非常に滑りやすいから注意が必要です。
バスで行くことが可能ですが私はいつも車で行きます。車を岩の上にあるビバーク場で止められます。ビバーク場で小さな料金で宿泊できます。テントを朝十時前撤収してください。岩のアクセス：駐車場から川え下る道を辿ると岩をと売ります。ガイドブークは便利です。
私は今Freyrに何度か行ってそこでほとんどMulti pitchクライミングをしました。エリアが広いので、何のレベルでクライミングしても良いクライミングが見つかります。ルートは４から８ｃ＋（フランスのグレード）。景色がとても美しく、滑りやすい足場が時々怖いですが、Freyrでクライミングするのは楽しいです。近くにある小さな街、Dinantも美しいし可愛いカフェやベーカリーも気に入っています。

Freyr is Belgium's biggest climbing area. The rock is made of limestone and the walls can be up to 110m high, so it's possible to climb multiple pitches. The rocks are located right next to the river Meuse and the views are stunning. The rocks face the south so it can become hot in summer but you can then cool off by taking a swim in the Meuse so I would say you can climb year round in this area. Because the rock is made of limestone and the area has been climbed in for a long time, you have to keep in mind that the easier routes are extremely slippery.
It's possible to get there by public transport, although I've never done that myself. You can park your car and sleep at the bivouac field close to it for a small fee. You get to the rocks by walking down from the parking lot or further back on one of the many paths leading down from the car road.
I've climbed in Freyr quite a few times now, mostly multipitches. Because the area is so big, you can always find something good to climb. There are routes from 4 to 8c+ (french grade). The landscape is very beautiful so I enjoy being there although I'm scared from time to time because of the slippery footholds. The little city close to the area, Dinant is also very beautiful and I like the cafes and bakeries there.
