Easter Weekend

I have four days off from work, but it turns out my boyfriend is away during those four days . Work stuff, which is understandable.
It's fine and everything, but man, it is SO BORING HERE.
All my friends have gone home to their hometowns to be with their families.
It also doesnt help that because it's holiday, everything is closed in Germany, except for Saturday.
So I took advantage of that and went out to buy ingredients to make Saffron Rice




I bought blue salt! Who thought of blue salt??
There was also black salt, and all of the salt was pure black.
I will buy that next after I finish my blue salt.



And then... Saffron! It is very expensive stuff.
So if you have extra saffron on the side of the bowl, scrape it off!! You are literally eating money when you eat this stuff.
For that cute little bottle it cost me 20€.


And then... my saffron rice! The rice was originally white basmati rice.
Saffron does wonders to your meal. But I think I should have cooked a bit of onion with some olive oil first. I'll do that next time.

This Thursday I will be flying to Las Vegas for NAB, thus leaving my poor boyfriend behind for a week.

I didnt want to ruin it so I put it on the side of the bed and shared another pillow with him

iPhone 4s

When i came back from my business trip, I bought an iPhone the after.
It was a late birthday present to myself, as well as a gift to myself for my one year stay in Germanyand working.
Yes, I make excuses for big purchases, but thankfully I dont make big purchases to myself often, and if I do, it's usually something i really need.





However, three days after I bought my phone, my primary email got hacked into.
And it wasn't only the email. My Facebook, Tumblr, iChat, Live Journal, YouTube, my business email, etc.--- anything that was linked to my email was also hacked into and all passwords were changed.
Gmail has this password recovery feature that emails your backup email with steps you can take to recover your account.
That backup email wasnt used in 7 years, and THAT was also hacked into.
The only account that wasnt hacked into, strangely enough, was my AMEBA account. It really does make you wonder.

It turns out the hacker was from the US in Alabama. From a company called Troy Cable Inc.
Ironically, they specialize in setting up internet connections in people's homes. They seem legitimate enough.

Please change your passwords often.

Jack Daniels Swiss Chocolate

I was walking around Munich in a really REALLY bad mood one day. So I decided to get some chocolate because it said that chocolate is the remedy for all moods that are bad. And I found THAT. The curiosity was overwhelming. Plus, I havent had JDs in a while, so I had to see if it was too good to be true.







It wasn’t. It was GOOD. And STRONG. It was the most intense piece of chocolate I’ve ever consumed!! I wheezed and coughed as soon as I popped a square into my mouth because I wasn’t expecting the EXPLOSION of whiskey goodness to overwhelm my mouth. I don’t think one could get drunk just by eating these but man, the alcohol content in there was pretty intense. Needless to say, the bad mood disappeared instantly. (｀∀´)

To those who visit, you must try this! It’s really good!

Muji in München

This was a REALLY REALLY PLEASANT surprise to find yesterday!! It’s in the Funf Höfe shopping area near Marienplatz. How in the world could there be a Muji in Munich but not in Los Angeles?? It makes absolutely NO sense!!





I bought myself some flash cards to help with my German vocabulary XD. I will constantly visit that place to get all the other things I need :D MUJI!! :DDD

I was walking down the streets to eat lunch and hang out at a peaceful cafe to read a book for a couple hours. However, the country had other plans.
