虹の橋
今、ネットで話題になっている詩「Rainbow Bridge」を自分なりに訳してみました（転載は自由ですw) 虹の橋 天国には虹の橋とよばれるところがあります生きているときに飼い主とのきずなが深かったペットは虹の橋へいくのですそこには草原や丘がありペットたちはともに走り、じゃれあいますそこにはたくさんの食べ物や水があり、太陽もふりそそぎますみんなあったかくて、心地よさそうです 病気だったり年老いたりしていたペットたちは健康をとりもどし、元気になります傷つけられ体にきずをかかえていたペットたちも、すっかり強さをとりもどします飼い主がおりにふれ思いだす、ペットのかつての強さをペットたちはとりもどすのですペットたちは幸せで、満足しています。たった一つのことをのぞいてはみんな、自分がとりのこしてきた、特別な人のことを思っているのです 走り、そしてたわむれていますがある日突然立ちどまり遠くをみつめますその双眸（そうぼう）には意志が宿りはじめ、体軀（たいく）は期待に震えはじめますそして群れをさっと離れ、草原の上をとぶように走っていきとうとうあなたの存在に気づき、ついにあなたとあなたの特別な友達は出会いますあなたたちは再会を喜びきつく抱きしめあいます、二度と離れぬように。喜びのキスがあなたの顔にふりそそぎます。あなたの両手がふたたびいとおしげにペットの頭を優しく撫でますあなたは再び自分を信じてくれるペットの瞳をみつめますずいぶん前にあなたの人生から失われ、しかし決して心の中から消えることのなかったその瞳を そしてあなたたちは虹の橋をいっしょにわたるのです 作者不詳 Rainbow BridgeJust this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.There are meadows and hills for all of our special friendsso they can run and play together.There is plenty of food, water and sunshine andour friends are warm and comfortable.All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.
