The major difference between digital photography and film photography is that in this case a sensor takes over the place of film. Beware of bright colours in the area, as this tends to throw a cast on your subject. Keep your subject a few feet away from the background when using a flash because the light from the flash usually cause a shadow to be on one side of the subject.
