An official name in the Golden Pavilion was Rokuon-ji and 3 generation eye general of Muromachi shogunate government was constructed as Ashikaga Yoshimitsu's villa.
And after Yoshimitsu died, made the villa a Zen temple.
Generally point at a temple of the Zen sect with a Zen temple.
It's said that the building of a garden and the neighborhood is expressing the E lysian fields including the Golden Pavilion.
