After arriving the airport, I met our group members after a long time. Then, I got on an airplane. there wasn't any description in Japanese. When I noticed that, I realized that I wasn't in Japan anymore. During the flight, I received snack and a cup of orange juice and ate and drank them. After arriving at an airport, I had to wait the next airplane for 5 hours. although there are many shops, there was no shops which absorbed me.
After 5 hours, I got on the airplane for California. It took 12 hours to get there. during the flight I ate in-flight meal twice. first one is for dinner and the second one is for breakfast maybe. it was noisy, so I couldn't sleep very much at first. However, I remembered that I had brought earplugs, so I wore them and slept well.
When I arrived at the airport. I had to call Marin door to door to ask them to take us to each host family's house. However, it wasn't easy for me, but finally I was able to do that. I called Miliam as well to tell her that we arrived safely. in 15 minutes, the car came and took us.
After that, I met my host family for the first time. their name is Hans and Julie. at the dinner time, I ate meat, rice and carrot. the rice I ate was different from japanese one. After that I took a shower. In Sonoma, water is precious due to the drought. therefore, I tool shower only for 10 minutes. At 5 o'clock, I called my father to tell him my situation because I hadn't got in touch with him since I left Japan. then I went to bed.
