harvest moon is 「meigetsu」
and harvest rice is 「inekari」
I have no idea why the same word is used.
We prepared some sweets already.
The children visit their neighbors
and say 「Otsukimi kurena!」
to get some candy.
My son is going to visit our neighbors
to get some candy.
That is his first time.
I’m worried he would might misunderstanding that he can get some candy if he visit neighbors all the time.

稲刈りはharvest rice
なぜ同じ単語が使われているのか
さっぱりわからない。
私達はすでにお菓子を用意しました。
子供たちが「お月見くーれな」と言って
近所を歩くとお菓子がもらえます。
私の息子もお菓子をもらいに
近所を歩く予定です。
彼にとって初めての経験です。
私は彼が、いつでも近所の家々に行けば
お菓子がもらえると勘違いするかもと
心配しています。
